Muchas gracias a Millie que estaba en recepción el sábado 10 de agosto! ¡Me había olvidado completamente de imprimir un billete de evento y ella me dejó muy amablemente e-mailarlo, imprimirlo e incluso se fue a la milla extra y laminado para mí todo mientras tenía una buena charla sobre mi estancia!

First time I've stayed here and bought a package which includes a spa treatment, lunch and dinner. There were 4 of us on this occasion. The hotel is big and impressive with all the F1 memorabilia in the Silverstone bar. Easy parking. We were a little disappointed that we had to wait for our rooms when the hotel requested we arrived for 10.45 am. Rooms weren't ready until 4pm. So had to take our luggage into the spa and luckily my case just fit in the locker. The spa had steam rooms, saunas, ice rooms and jacuzzi. Nice and relaxing. Once we'd tried them all it was time fir lunch which was fantastic. Great choice of salads, meats, fish etc. Really delicious with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Really wish champagne was on offer though as Prosecco makes me ill, but hubby got lucky there as one of our party didn't drink so 3 glasses for him lol! We then went to the pool area which, after the spa area being so hot, felt a little cool. But soon warmed up with a swim. There was a steam and sauna in this area. All spa areas had water on tap available for hydration. When it was time we moved upstairs for our treatments and we were all called promptly. The lady who did mine was Christina (I do apologise if I've got your name wrong). Had an amazing back massage and facial and felt so good. We then went into a relaxation area and chilled for a bit. The temp was still a little on the cool side though, but you dud have a blanket. We then went to our rooms. I've stated here before and am always a little disappointed as the beds are too firm and the pillows feel fluffy and sift, but really aren't. The heater was incredibly noisy so had to switch it off as it kept waking us up and it was very noisy outside as well as in. It amazes me how inconsiderate other guests can be with slamming doors and loud talking and whacking the TV volume to loud after 1 am! That is not the hotels fault of course. Dinner in the Aston Restaurant was delicious and our waiter Ozan was excellent and looked after us very well indeed. Thank you Ozan, you made our evening.

Eating: Cocktails in the bar were lovely. EYAS. - extreme lack of vegan options for such an ‘acclaimed’ chef. Staff were lovely but for the prices we expected more. Breakfast was ok but a slab of tofu isn’t nice and so not thoughtful. So many other fantastic breakfast options for vegan protein - again from such a chef we expected more. Stay: Cottage room was stifling hot even with the Dyson fan. The shower pressure was pitiful and badly designed - you can’t turn the taps on without getting wet and the shower screen bangs the sink The bed was comfortable You could hear the doors slamming of the other rooms and communal doors which was jarring an not restful We were invaded by a HUGE spider No SOYA or alternative milks in the room (despite pre warning of dietary) All in all, for the cost we expected a more luxurious stay. Basic improvements that Air bnbs offer unfortunately
