Hotel Borgo Pantano

Our second stay at this pearl, this gem of a hotel, comes to an end. Often, when you return to a good hotel, the memories are often disappointed as reality rarely measures up. To come back to a great hotel? The risk of disappointment is huge. However, Giusy and her staff make sure their hotel delivers. With dedication, high quality and a love for what they do. Every guest is important. The grounds impeccable, the upkeep amazing and the food unparalleled. Their breakfast buffet is amongst the best I’ve ever had in all of my travels, freshly made every day: baked goods, savory and sweet along with all the usual things you’d expect. The lunch and dinner offers amazing discoveries of Sicilian and Italian cuisine. But what really gets me every day is the staff: from the reception to housekeeping, servers and Giusy: there’s a passion and love for what they do I’ve never seen anywhere else. Just today I witnessed a guest alerting them to a nail sticking up by the pool. Fifteen minutes later, maintenance was there to fix it. Trust me when I say that in any other hotel, it would’ve taken hours, if not days or weeks. Will we be back? You bet!

Just returned from a fantastic week at Hotel Borgo Pantano. We received a lovely welcome, our room was junior suite in a lovey courtyard, clean and spacious. The Atmosphere of the hotel is super relaxing. As previous guests have mentioned the food at both dinner and breakfast is lovely and to a very high standard. There is transport available to go to and from the local town, Siracusa but we had a car so used that. The hotel staff are super helpful with advice on where to park, parking app used locally so easy. Ortigia is lovely and has pedestrian friendly streets with many good restaurants offering local food/ produce. You do need a car as it’s approx 5km away. This Hotel is special, location is rural, you can tell is an old farm, the owner , Guise (hope I’ve spelt correctly ) our room was old part of the building which was used for the cows long time ago, beautifully appointed and really well managed and run. The garden, grounds are stunning, oranges growing as you walk down to the pool. Pool area is excellent and clean, lots of sunbeds, loungers, gazebo s you are spoiled for choice. Pool bar offers cold drinks, cocktails and cool draught beer. All The staff are superb at their jobs and always are smiling, the service here is exceptional. The hotel also gives you maps, lists the best beaches in the area and will even book you sunbeds ahead of time if required, nothing was too much for them, my wife wants to go back which is an absolute first ! Our stay at Borgo Pantano was exceptional from start to finish. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, and the host/owner welcomes you with the kind of hospitality that immediately makes you feel at home. The property itself is beautiful — a charming orchard‑style garden, peaceful corners to relax, and a spectacular pool area that feels like a private oasis. The restaurant is very good, with delicious food and excellent local wines that showcase the best of the region. But the true standout is the breakfast. It’s extraordinary in both quality and variety, and without exaggeration, it could easily rank among my top three hotel breakfasts ever. Every morning felt like a celebration of Sicilian flavors. Although the hotel is set in the countryside, it’s only a short drive from Syracuse and Ortigia. The hosts prepare a detailed guide full of recommendations, making it effortless to enjoy the area to the fullest. A place full of charm, warmth, and unforgettable hospitality. Five stars, wholeheartedly.

We have just had a great 4 night stay at Hotel Borgo Pantano. We were 2 couples and the hotel gad everything for a great time. Firstly the staff are excellent, from the Martina that greets you at reception to all the other staff in the restaurant, the pool area and breakfast. They are so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is immaculate and well laid out. Plenty of beds round the pool and grounds, nobody putting towels down to reserve beds! The bedrooms are chic and very clean. The breakfast is vast with fabulous choice. We ate at the restaurant for 3 nights as the food was so good.

Excellent hotel. Staff were brilliant and the facilities were great. Peaceful if a little out of the way location. Shuttle into Syracuse was really useful but could be more flexible. Breakfast spread was impressive for its variety and the vast array of options. Evening meals in the restaurant near the pool have you lots of choice and most dishes were well made and tasty with some invention and creativity. Best of all we’re the fantastic staff. Courteous, friendly and attentive, loved our stay!❤️❤️

We stayed at Borgo Pantano Hotel for one week during Easter, and our experience was truly wonderful. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of local specialties and delicious sweet treats that made each morning special. The dinners at the restaurant were equally outstanding — every meal was of excellent quality and full of flavor. The hotel itself is surrounded by a beautiful, spacious garden with lovely pools, providing a perfect setting to relax and enjoy nature. What made our stay even more memorable was the staff: always friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. A special mention goes to the owner, whose care and dedication to the guests created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that truly felt like home. My wife I spent four nights in this fabulous hotel. Well managed, beautifully manicured grounds, fantastic restaurant in an exceptional setting provides a great home base to visit local sites or a great place to just relax and enjoy the pool. The owner Giusi is always around talking to her guests ensuring their needs are attended to. Great staff.
