Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy

Nos alojamos en el Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy por 2 noches de acción con mi familia. Inicialmente no pudimos conseguir espacio para nadar ya que estaba completamente reservado. El personal del mostrador fue muy servicial y logró conseguir un espacio para 2 días. Mi hijo disfrutó de la piscina incluso a través de su tiempo de natación de solo 1 hora. El desayuno era normal pero sabroso.

Las comodidades dentro de la habitación eran funcionales y bastante buenas. Me gusta que el secador de pelo esté arreglado, en lugar de tener que buscarlo por todas partes. Me encanta que esté la bañera, pero la taza del inodoro debería venir con una ducha.

Good location, Parkway Parade is just opposite of the hotel. You can also walk to the beach within 10min. MTR is under construction, will be more convenient months later.

This is my fourth stay and will be my last stay at Grand Mercure Roxy Square. Upon check in, I smiled and said “Wah nice layout and change” Then a front desk officer named Noorain just said “Check in?” I quickly showed my booking ID and gave my identification card and the front desk asked me “How many people staying in?” I mentioned just my husband and my small children in which she quickly interrupted me and said “I need all of their I.D” I asked again that the booking is in my name only and which she quickly said “No, I need their ID” and just looking at the screen. I texted my husband who was in the car and he came over to pass his I.D. My husband had asked Noorain that we have stayed here many times and there was never an issue, Noorain mentioned loudly that this is a new system, so my husband also said if it is a new system, how do you keep track of previous hotel guests and she said “Im sorry this is a totally new system” and then very loudly said “ THEN THE STAFF LAST TIME WAS THE ONE WHO DIDN’T RECORD” I was taken aback of how quickly the front desk changed her tone, I had asked her where do I write down all my children’s particulars, and she just pointed out to write the sensitive information on the top blank space part of the hotel form receipt. Not wanting to ruin my day, I just complied and just took the room key given. It was a very unpleasant feeling the whole day of staying in on the eve of CNY. And It made me believe I had been profiled to be treated like that. I have receipts of my past stay and receipts of good review of Roxy Square previously, I love the location and I teach around the area, so it was convenient for me and my family to unwind. Unfortunately, this will be our last stay. I love the upgrading of the hotel, and I wish you success Mercure Roxy. Here is a disappointing goodbye.

Stay was great! Booked this place to explore the area and have a countdown with my loved one @ Marine Parade area. Though weather was rainy time to time, gladly we were able to borrow an umbrella from the hotel. Plenty of malls and restaurants to explore around the area. We got the ocean view room and though there were some buildings blocking the full view, good enough for us! Thankful to have William and Eve to serve us which made the stay a memorable one ❤️

Cozy room, though the amenities are not new. The pool is clean, though rather cold. We did not get to try the food, but they gave a small surprise (delicious chocolate cake) for my kids' monthsaries. The staff are friendly and accommodating, but we hope they provide room service. Overall, a convenient area, especially if you want to soak in the cultural offering of East Coast area.

I've been staying at Hotel Roxy for few times. This time the toilet ventilation fan is not working well. I've informed the staff at the front desk and in the end it's not fixed. Although the hotel lobby and lift have been facelifted, but inside the room is still the same. The air conditioner is not functioning the same day by day (may be because of occupancy?).

Environment that nearby there’s mall and train station

Our hotel room is spacious but the aircon is noisy. Good location with many eateries and changi airport is not too far from the hotel.
