This stay was for a landmark birthday for my wife and I wanted to give her the 5 star experience she deserved. Unfortunately, I was disappointed and underwhelmed with the accommodations. Here are the problems we experienced: The hotel was under construction for renovations. Had I known this was going on, I wouldn't have stayed there. I reserved a room with a king sized bed but was given a room with 2 queens. When I went to the front desk to complain, I was told that they were sold out and I wasn't going to get what I had reserved. When I pressed the issue, the clerk said that she only worked the front desk and looked annoyed that I wasn't satisfied. Now on to the room, there was no patio and the "view" was of the parking lot. We discovered that the water had been turned off without any notification even though I had talked to the front desk 5 minutes earlier. I had to call the front desk because there was no shampoo in the shower and requested that some be sent to us. The TV in the room wasn't connected to the internet and wasn't operational. After the water was turned back on, there was no cold water in the bathroom sink, only the bathtub (for the remainder of our stay). There was no apparent soundproofing in the room because I could hear the guest in the next room having a phone conversation with his wife (via speaker) and at night, I could clearing hear him snoring. And in the morning, his 6 am alarm clock waked us up each morning we were in the room. The room was very spartan in the decorations. Not the 5 star resort that the website alluded to. In fairness, aside from the front desk clerk that was there when I checked in, the remaining staff were amazing! A special shout out to Austin who worked the temporary dining room in the morning and to Guadalupe, who worked the front desk when I checked out.
