Premier Inn Scarborough (South Bay)

First the positives. The room was very clean, comfortable and bathroom was obviously recently refurbished. Breakfast was excellent and good value, but more on that later. Now the not so good, or could do better! The check in policy is ludicrous, I understand they need to have a designated check in time, but whilst waiting (40 minutes) I overheard the staff clearly stating that all rooms were ready for guests, but as people were entering the reception they were informed that check was not possible until 3pm and they had to wait or pay £10.00 for an early check in! The result was a packed reception and when they did commence check in, due to a “new system “ it was painfully slow! Very poor customer service. The breakfast was good value, but the attitude of the cashier guy was poor at best, probably rude if to be defined. On approaching him I was asked “ breakfast for two “ to which I replied “ no there’s only one” to which he snapped “ well I’m not to know that!” Not expected and yes rude!

Location & service good. Just what we needed for a very reasonable price. Breakfast a brilliant option for eating with kids. Excellent quick access to with bay. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely come back again.

This premier inn has our 5 stars. Staff friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and tidy. I was very surprised with the room nice and spacious, clean and very comfortable bed. Will be choosing premier Inn in our future visits to Scarborough. Well done team.

Our go to hotel in Scarborough and the rooms never disappoint. Breakfast can be hit and miss and busy as it’s open to the public and you may find it a struggle to get a table immediately but be patient as the tables turn quickly. The hotel is ideally located and the parking at the carpark is good value.

This hotel has recently been extended and first time we have stayed since the opening of the new build. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay we arrived very early and paid £10.00 and let into our room early. This hotel let you have a longer leave time upto 12.00 which is an added bonus. Lovely and clean. Really enjoyed our stay and now looking for another stay with our family again soon.

Originally booked for one night and decided to stay another and although hotel was nearly full we were accommodated no problem all thanks to Carmen who is an advocate for the brand. Stayed plenty of times and will return as usual service was resumed with clean comfy rooms as advertised.

Perfect nights accommodation for me and my 8 year old son. Only required to stay for one night, Simple self check in (even for a technophobe like me) Interior and exterior well maintained, clean and tidy. Room was comfortable with fairly modern decor Good nights sleep, Good breakfast and an easy check out in the morning Was able to park at a multi-storey across the road which was £12 for 24 hours and seemed a good, safe place to leave the car overnight

This was not our first time in this hotel but it has been significantly extended and updated since we were last here. Right in the centre of town but with a paid carpark very near. We used the electronic check in which was new for us but very easy and quick. The rooms have been very nicely updated although very comfortable the bed was a little high. We had breakfast in the adjoining pub and found it to be very good for choice and availability but the main breakfast just needed to be a little hotter. Would definately stay here again
