Somos Marriott Elite y nos hospedamos en todo el mundo con Marriott. Nunca he escrito una reseña aquí, pero me siento obligado a advertir a otros posibles huéspedes que busquen un hotel diferente. Llegamos tarde por la noche y habíamos llamado para asegurarnos de que la habitación estuviera lista. A la 1:00 AM, la habitación estaba sucia, la cama no estaba hecha, no tenían la suite que reservamos, pero nos dieron una habitación normal sin suficientes camas para nuestra familia, y el personal fue muy grosero. Tampoco confirmaron el check-out tardío, aunque les expliqué que llegaríamos tarde. La persona de la recepción se negó a llamar al gerente, pero dijo que nos ayudarían en la mañana. El recepcionista le confirmó a Marriott que no le quedaban suites (la habitación que reservamos) y tuvo que darnos una habitación normal. Quiero que quede claro que queríamos como mínimo la habitación que habíamos reservado, y no estamos hablando del hecho de que el hotel no tenía una mejora. No dormí en toda la noche porque no había suficientes camas. El Gerente Iván, nunca me contactó, y cuando lo contraté en la mañana me hizo ir a su oficina donde fue grosero y me acusó de tener cuatro personas en la habitación. Cuando le dije que la ducha (el rociador superior no funcionaba) y que el lavabo no drenaba correctamente y se llenaba de agua, dijo que tenía que ir a probar la ducha para confirmar que estaba diciendo la verdad. También dijo que tenía que investigar la situación y que no daría una solución. Después de varios días, recibí un correo electrónico y nos ofreció 15,000 puntos y ha discutido en los correos electrónicos con nosotros. Él comienza diciendo que bajarnos de nivel tres niveles es apropiado, así que tenga cuidado de que no solo nunca obtendrá una actualización aquí, sino que lo degradarán y lo tratarán horriblemente. Elija otro hotel, ya que somos Titanium Elite y nunca nos han tratado tan mal en ninguna parte del mundo. Nunca escribo reseñas, pero me siento obligado a decírselo a otros viajeros para que puedan evitar una experiencia terrible.

One of the most beautiful resorts with height quality service in Santorini! The manager Konstantinos personally went out of his way to cater to our every needs. Highly recommend this resort for family relaxation.

Although we didn’t love Santorini we definitely loved this hotel. We upgraded to a suite since we had our 13 year old with us. It was such a lovely room with every detail determined. Excellent breakfast, lovely poolside menu with decent prices and the best thing was the awesome concierge staff. They connect with you via WhatsApp on check and and grant your every wish! We got lost trying to find our restaurant on night 1 and they “sent us a pin” to walk to it. Then, checked to make sure we found it. All in all I loved this hotel. Wish I could’ve found “the equivalent” on some of the other Greek stops we made along our vacation.

Amazing! The rooms (Aegean Suite!), the breakfast, the staff (everyone was sooo nice), and the views! The local neighborhood has additional food and shopping as well! They will arrange excursions, make reservations, and schedule transportation. This will definitely be a return trip.

I found it difficult to select from the vast array of hotels in Santorini for our family of six (two parents and four teens/young adults). Ultimately, I selected this one based on a friends recommendation. It was lovely, but not perfect. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Simple but luxurious in authentically Greek style. 2. Lovely, very attentive staff. 3. Situated in quaint little village away from the throngs of tourists. (But see #2 below) 4. Shuttles to anywhere you want to go. 5. Offers two bedroom suites — great for families or couples traveling together. 6. Two nice pools plus hot(luke warm) tub. 7. Excellent concierge arranged great excursions Cons: 1. Food and extras are astronomically expensive. We arrived late and hungry and went straight to the restaurant to feed our grumpy teens. Big mistake. We each ordered a small appetizer (watermelon with feta) and two drinks, and the bill was over 500 Euros! Unbelievable. The next day, my daughter bought sunscreen at the hotel shop and it was 42 euros! If you are staying here, do NOT eat at the restaurant or buy anything on premises. There are several excellent authentic Greek restaurants in the village that are priced reasonably. And is a little shop right outside the hotel to the left that has everything you need: sunscreen, beverages, snacks, etc for normal prices. 2. They say you go to Santorini for the incredible views. This hotel doesn’t have them. It is inland and not on the cliff (which has stunning views but feels crowded), nor is is on the beach side. That said, easy to get to both, and this hotel provides a respite from all.

What a find. If you are looking for quality, quietness, luxury, welcoming staff, exceptional food, all located in a tranquil setting out of the way the hustle and bustle of Thira, then look no further. This place was exceptional. Proper 5 star in Santorini ( and the first). Staff to mention are Ionna in Breakfast, with a nice welcome, knew our names as we got there, offered birthday wishes and made us feel at home. Pashalina waitress, and pool service very accommodating, patient and willing to help with any request. Ivane at the evening bar, great cocktail maker, very knowledgeable and nothing ever a problem for him. Polyxenia waitress and pool side, again nothing a problem, always smiling and willing to help. Iannis and Paniotis at breakfast and dinner, both very helpful and welcoming. Reception staff always knew you everyday, the WhatsApp messaging service with them was very effective, arranging taxis and booking restaurants. Yes the place is pricey, but you get quality, food and tater menu were exceptional, and the wine flight very generous! Met a great amount of international people, all of them complimentary of the place, its so clean, tranquil and perfect situated to be near but far away rough form the main hustle of the capital. Also situated run the centre of Megalochori so two minute walk to tavernas and bars that we found to be also exceptional. All in all a fantastic week, and yes we would definitely come back!

Last stop on a 2 week island hopping adventure. Our travel agent suggested Vedema Resort and from all appearances it looked great - perfect for a last stop. On checkin we were advised that the resort was full and our room category that we booked was not available but they had a wonderful suite, we wouldn’t be disappointed. Well - we were - whilst the room was well appointed and spacious, the bathroom was next to a footpath and the view was not of the resort as per web site description - but of concrete with anyone being able to look in. Essentially we had to close the shutters to use the bathroom or lounge area. And here we just had indifference from the hotel - no apology, justification that this was the room category we booked and the hotel is fully booked. Then after several interactions we were advised they would move us the next day - received a text advising we were to vacate our room by 11am and the new room couldn’t be guaranteed until 3pm - but they could store our luggage ! After complaining, we were told we could keep the room until the new one was ready - which wasn’t until 3pm - so much for trying to rectify our issue and let us settle into the hotel. New room much better - although not the category we had booked - but no one is able to look into our bathroom. There has been no apology from the hotel - I guess it’s a case of the hotel is busy, so take what your given. Overall the public areas of the hotel are of a high standard and tastefully furnished, Food and Beverage staff wonderful - food is good and the village atmosphere is very special - just a shame the hotel was unable to welcome us with what we had booked and unable to practice basic customer service. But - the sky is blue, the sun is shining and The Greek islands have been amazing.

We were not expecting the caliber of excellence at The Vedema Resort. This property is secluded, beautiful, and very special. The staff is outstanding. Joanna and her breakfast team were fantastic. There were so many wonderful servers, and our every need was anticipated and met. Helen and her dinner team at the Alati were beyond belief. A separate review will be posted for them. Housekeeping was impeccable. We were upgraded to an Aegean Suite which was lovely. The pool was almost empty in October but to us it was very pleasant and relaxing. We so enjoyed everything about this property, and only wish I could give it six stars.
