Hotel Can Sastre

Can Sastre for me & my family was nothing but exceptional...from arrival to breakfast to gin & tonics by the pool, pure heaven. The hosts are so welcoming & just make you feel like your at home. Its so easy to get to Ibiza town, santa gertrudis, san rafael! You really feel a true taste of Ibiza! We highly recommend this hotel, one of our favourite getaways on the Island!

My wife and I have just gotten home from a week in Ibiza. I’m so pleased we decided to stay at this hotel as it’s one of the most tranquil places we’ve stayed. As it’s boutique, it has just a handful of rooms meaning that there aren’t too many guests on the property at one time. The staff are very attentive and available for whatever you need, whenever you need it. The room itself was gorgeous, and in general the decor throughout the hotel matched the tranquil vibe. Lovely little pool & bar area which we managed to use a couple of times! And breakfast was by far the best I’ve had in Europe! We couldn’t recommend this place enough! Nice rooms and friendly staff, however the whole property not well kept and pretty unmaintained (even for a “rural hotel”). The noise from the street is loud and kills the serene atmosphere. The pool is rather small. The owners can make so much more out of the huge gardens if they would hire a gardener to at least occasionally cut bushes and plants.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while. Bibi and her team are unbelievable and we had the most wonderful stay just after New Year with our two small children. They upgraded us to the most incredible 2 bedroom suite. I spent the whole stay asking where all their incredible interiors are from. The breakfasts were to die for and the evening meals too. It feels very private and secluded but at the same time you can socialise with other guests if you want to. Bibi was on hand for recommendations to do on the island and her husband makes the most delicious food. They were such amazing hosts. Every part of this place is beautiful. Thank you so much for having us!

Fantastic place with very genuine Ibicenco vibe and great service by Bibi and her team. Starting from an exquisite breakfast that beats best I had in LA, NYC, Tulum or London, through lazy time at the pool with attentive yet discrete staff. And last but not least the massage by an amazing therapist. Must-go for any fans of true classy laidback and private Ibiza.

We had a fabulous, relaxing stay - very cool rooms, amazing breakfasts (pancakes, açaí bowl and eggs florentine were delicious!) and Raymond & Bibi were great hosts! Highly recommended - we would love to return!

Glorious website. Beautiful marketing. Great trip-advisor reviews (most of which seem to be before the current owners took over). But…the reality is different. Positives: good service, good breakfast and clean rooms. The negatives: - outrageously overpriced: our room was marketed as a “suite” but was a regular bedroom and bathroom. At €500 a night you’d expect a lot more. You’d also expect a LOT more from the hotel. - The pool: the pool is TINY. It is a plunge pool at best. Probably no more than 3 metres by 4 metres. Max capacity of two adults or three small kids. And don’t expect to be able to swim. - Breakfast: this is NOT included in your room fee. At €500 a night this is offensive. I can’t remember staying anywhere at this price point where breakfast was charged separately (unless it was a hostel in Latin America 20 years ago). - Day beds and seating areas: they are tired and dirty. Everything needs a wash. The small seating area outside our room was dusty, ants everywhere and the cushions were dirty. It all feels tired and shabby (and not in a good way). - The honesty bar is overpriced and limited. I don’t want to pay €500 a night to be scrabbling around in the bottom of a fridge looking for a €6 beer and having no ice available, no wine and no mixers beyond tonic water. - The main road: the website fails to mention the busy main road which is a few hundred metres from the property. It’s noisy in the day and noisy at night. Bring ear plugs. Can Sastre is not a fair value exchange. It’s overpriced and undercooked. I cannot recommend it. Avoid.

We arrived at night and were welcomed by candlelight in the silence of nature. The rooms are spartan, but large and comfortable. Our room did not have air conditioning and was a bit humid, but the philosophy of this place lies in the magical atmosphere and in the courteous and personalized service. The breakfast is super good and super healthy. For dinner I tried the chicken curry and it was yummy! The hotel (agriturismo) has seven rooms, a large garden and a small swimming pool, guests are quiet and discreet. If you are looking for a place away from the chaos of ibiza town, with a slow and relaxed mood, this hotel is for you.

Top genieten! Je voelt je er onmiddellijk thuis door de warme ontvangst van Bibi, haar man en haar charmant personeel. Het ontbijt is overheerlijk genieten op de terras in ware Ibiza stijl, steeds zalige muziek op de achtergrond. Kamers zijn heel ruim, perfect in orde. Onmiddellijke toegang tot de tuin en zwembad . Het was genieten, wij komen terug!
