The hotel was very interesting from and architectural design perspective. I loved the floor to ceiling windows and the view was amazing. What we didn't appreciate after along day of travel was the sauna-like temperature and the impotent air-conditioning. They moved us to a slightly cooler room (with a Northern exposure), but it wasn't much better. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that removing our key card from the slot by the door would turn off the air-conditioning, nor was this insight offered up by the staff despite our complaint. I can only imagine how hellish this place would be in the middle of Summer. Be warned, leaving your key card in the master switch is your only chance of coming back to a cool-ish room. The charge towards carbon neutrality is admirable, but at what cost? Roasting your guests should not be an permitted!

La ubicación del hotel está muy lejos, pero siempre puede caminar hacia el río en 15 minutos. No me gustaba la decoración de la habitación. Era demasiado oscuro. La habitación era pequeña. El baño tenía sólo un tipo de gel. El hotel es bueno para un solo día de estancia.

Equipaje maravilloso. El hotel es limpio pero algo fechado. El aire acondicionado durante una ola de calor no pudo mantenerse. Es caminable a Mirabelle Platz, pero todavía asequible. Buen desayuno. No una zona turística pesada, pero todavía encontramos lugares decentes para comer. No lejos del transporte.

Cocoon Salzburg - 10-13 July 2022 done both not all pix only the room This hotel is almost right across from the train station, on a corner, very easy to find - white 7 story building with a big butterfly outline on the glass doors. Inside the lobby is part of the bar and breakfast room. Checkin is super friendly. Room is small but wins the cuteness prize. Carpeting and walls in hallway all green with small leafy patterns like in a jungle. Bed is firm and very comfy, bedding is an interesting weave feeling like soft cotton paper, and 4 big fluffy pillows. No amenities in room such as phone, electric kettle or coffee makers, or even a small fridge. Has safe however. The hanging rattan chair is cute but takes up some room. Day couch by the window, no tables, night stands or desk - or chair for that matter (no room anyway). The most minimal amount of furniture, the idea I guess is all about lounging around so you don't ever need to sit up anywhere. Not much surface to layout stuff just a sort of narrow shelving on the wall next to the TV. Bathroom also tiny but everything is new and modern and the rain shower is the best ever. Takes a bit of maneuvering to get our two large suitcases settled. We are on the 6th floor so have a bit of view of mountains over the top of a building across the street. Windows have electrically controlled shutters outside (push button inside). You get a nice bar of chocolate and 5 euros for opting out housekeeping (although they said something about not continuing this practice). Floor uncarpeted. Aircon good. Wifi seems pretty fast. Nightlight under the bed is motion sensitive, so it comes on whenever you are moving around the room. Breakfast is good with scrambled and pre shaped fried eggs, sausage and bacon-like ham. Good selection of pastries and croissants and breads. Half dozen different kinds of tea all loose so need to scoop into a teabag in order to steep which is interesting and pretty fancy. Selection of cold meats as well and cheese. Tomato, cucumber and fruit. They don't check to see if you have breakfast included which is strange because it's extra charge for breakfast so not automatically included in all rooms. Overall a pretty good breakfast and food gets replenished pretty quickly. Seating tends to run out at peak time and people will ask to share your table if there is room.

The location, price and cleanliness was very nice. However the kitchen was terrible, not a single mug, glas or bowl. One morning the pots and pans were gone, I tried asking at the reception but no one there at the time spoke English. But worst of all was that our room was overbooked, one night when me and our friend got back we found someone sleeping in one of our beds and all other beds full. Will not return.

Eerste hotel op onze fietstocht van Salzburg naar Grado.. kamers zijn ruim, netjes en een goede service.ligt bij de Messe, met de fiets in 10 minuten in de Altstadt. Prima ontbijt! El hotel está reservado para nuestras vacaciones de esquí sólo 60-90 minutos de muchos centros de esquí. El autobús es demasiado opuesto con el número 4 de autobús que corre cada 20 minutos hasta aproximadamente 2230 horas. El costo de un solo es de 3 euros (sólo toma dinero en autobús). Ellos también ofrecen un billete de día para €4.50 pero no estoy seguro si tienes que comprar esto de una máquina como no lo ofreció en autobús. UUsuario invitadoThis is probably the best place we have ever stayed! Alex and Iris are great hosts, friendly and very helpful. Everything is perfect. The rooms are spotless, the toiletries luxurious, bed very comfortable, great to have tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was lovely, great choice, lots of homemade and local produce and my husband said it was the best omelette he'd eaten. Lots of information on things to do in Salzburg. 20 minute easy walk or quick bus ride into the old town to get to Christmas markets and other museums and attractions. Easy to get to from the airport. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Alex and Iris!

Good area with restaurants and shops very close. 15/20 minutes walk to all the main attractions. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff nice and helpful. The common areas of the hotel are modern and clean. There's a room for the luggage if you need to keep it before checking in or after checking out. The rooms were spacious and clean. So is the bathroom. The breakfast was very good, the breakfast room has a lovely view of the city. The only complain we have is that the room was very hot and the shower head bracket didn't work.

Todos son super útiles, van más allá del llamado de la tarea y tienen un buen deseo cuando hablan con los huéspedes. La habitación familiar que hemos estado viviendo fue grande y cómoda. Nuestro cuarto estaba bastante tranquilo con realmente no hay ruido desde el exterior filtrando. Nos quedamos sólo por una noche, pero deseamos que nos quedamos más tiempo, y planeamos quedarnos de nuevo cuando regresamos a Salzburgo.

UUsuario invitadoNos alojamos por 6 noches en una habitación De Luxe con vista al courtyard. Muy buen nivel de descanso (ningún ruído), habitación confortable, bien equipada y correcta limpieza. Desayuno completo y con variedad. Correcta atención del personal de recepción y del afectado al desayuno. El hotel está ubicado en una zona muy tranquila. La única crítica la refiero al restaurante PitterKeller porque el día que llegamos (por cierto muy tarde) no nos atendieron porque la cocina estaba cerrada, pero eran las 9.20pm y en todo el hotel hay avisos que cierra a las 9.30pm. La explicación fue que alguna veces cerraban antes, lo cual es inadmisible para un hotel de 4*S y con casi 200 habitaciones.

As a Titanium Discovery Member, I was given a welcome amenity, an accommodation uprade and surprisingly free breakfasts! Our room, on the top floor, was very spacious, comfortably furnished and offered great views, over nearby buildings, of the cliffs and mountains. Breakfast was excellent, with all the usual five star hotel offerings, plus some extra special items: a good selection of hot food and cold cuts including smoked salmon; a nice choice of juices plus a bottle of sparkling wine; a great lineup of cereals, bread and bakery items, including a delicious sachertorte. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pre-stay emails were answered promptly, all questions were answered and all requests granted.

UUsuario invitadoI booked this hotel online after lot of research and went by the brand of ”Best Western”, whose properties I have stayed around the world in the past. However, I would say the experience was much below expectations. Pros 1. Very close to Salzburg train station. It is about 2kms from the station 2. Bus stops are right opposite of hotel so ease of public transport 3. Walking distance to Mirabell Palace and Mozartplatz (main tourist attractions) 4. Several Indian restaurants within walking distance from hotel. 5. I was given a large room so it was good from family point of view 6. Room, bathroom was clean, nice bed, clean bed linen and towels etc 7. Staff at FD was efficient and solved most of our issues quickly. Cons 1. When we checked into room, we noticed that not even electric kettle, tea, coffee was provided in the room. It was provided only after brought into the notice of the front desk. 2. Intercom in the room was not working, so every time you have to go to the FD to inform 3. The room has a very small window at shoulder level, which was quite odd. 4. Salzberg was quite warm during our stay and AC was not working in the room. 5. Breakfast spread was small considering this was a 4 star hotel. 6. The bathroom has peculiar design & it was quite awkward for our Indian sensibilities, that shower enclosure was in glass open to view from all sides from the room. Such arrangement is not suitable if you have older children staying in the same room. We had our 10y old with us and we had to finish our shower before she would wake up. I would rather avoid this hotel in future!!

UUsuario invitadoEl autobús a Salzburgo está a solo 15 minutos, pero hay varios autobuses que van al mismo tiempo, y Hellbrunn o Cable Kata están en la montaña, por lo que si tiene un horario para ir allí, puede quedarse en el hotel, especialmente si viaja desde Tome el autobús Flix o Leo en Praga o en otro lugar. Esta es la dirección de la estación a la ciudad, por lo que puede encontrar alojamiento antes porque el alojamiento es antes que la ciudad. El personal es amable y llueve mucho en Salzgan, así que alquilé un paraguas en el hotel y lo usé bien. La desventaja es que tiene aire acondicionado, así que elegí este tipo de alojamiento, que no suele ser lo que pensamos, sino un dispositivo con forma de ventilador.
Tenga en cuenta que el aire acondicionado está instalado. Sin embargo, llovió el día que fuimos, por lo que no se necesitaba aire acondicionado. Abrir la ventana y soplar el viento es mucho más fresco que abrir el aire acondicionado. Puedes abrir la ventana, porque no hay mosquitos, no importa. UUsuario invitadoEn primer lugar, el hombre (en realidad, el dueño) que nos había registrado tenía una actitud muy mala. Cuando le dijimos que 480 euros son demasiado caros para dos noches en relación con las condiciones de la habitación y los servicios, se reía y dijo que era incluso barato para Salzburgo. Pedimos que se trasladara a otra habitación (después de que la habitación ofrecida parecía miserable), no fue diferente. Aunque dijimos que nos gustaba tener alguna información sobre la ciudad, se fue de repente. No lo hemos visto nunca más, no había servicio de recepción. La habitación era abominable, no limpia, adhesiva, muy pequeña (ver fotos). En nuestra reserva se prometieron 25 m2, en realidad 12 m2, en el techo. El suelo era muy sucio, no había sido aplastado durante mucho tiempo! Las paredes también fueron sucios en todas partes (véanse las fotos). Estabamos en el segundo piso, mirando el techo a través de una ventana que no era posible cerrar cuando llovía. No había minibar ni siquiera vidrio ! Mucho sucio en el edificio que cayó, ventanas y puertas estaban dañadas. Todo el ”hotel” fue muy sucio. La habitación no fue limpia durante nuestra estancia, no se llevó residuos ni toallas limpias. No recomendaremos este lugar a menos que este sea el último paseo en la ciudad. Ni siquiera sé cómo han recibido una licencia de hotel. Aunque hay un edificio antiguo, no hay excusa para el personal por la mala higiene de los cuartos. El lugar es terrible, Estoy sorprendido, incluso tienen un negocio con este horrible servicio al cliente. Las imágenes de la alojamiento no coinciden absolutamente con la realidad. No lo habríamos reservado nunca. ¡La antigua no siempre puede ser mala, pero al menos debería ser mantenida y limpia!
