Wonderful place. Blissful nature. Full natural air no need of ac. Dinner and breakfast was good. But can charge less for veg dinner. Meeting and feeding cute varied birds is best part of this resort

Pros: 1. The ambience, the location where the resort is stunning. Aside the dam, mountain view, lush green absolutely stunning. 2. Exotic bird park was one of a kind experience. The trainers / instructors were too good to take us through. 3. The process was really smooth right from booking to check out the resort staff ensured that we didn't miss out anything that was assured to us. 4. Caretaker mr. Manish was very helpfull. He ensured we were taken care of. Cons:
1. No mobile network. Only jio works there all other service providers are dead. Not even 1 point of signal. 2. Restaurant serves buffet menu. They don't have a menu. Whatever is prepared is served. But not to complain, the food tasted homely and delicious. 3. The rooms are a bit too old as the resort. But very neat and clean rooms. Well maintained. Overall the stay at the resort was really refreshing and memorable.

Booking experience very bad. Overcharged. Booking fate while booking changed automatically and asked to pay 970- extra to change dates. Rooms are good. Dinner is also good. Bird park in resort too good. Many activities are not in working conditions. Return rs 970- charged extra for changing dates. I don't know how automatically dates got changed. It is your trick to charge more. Also rates here are very low than charged.

Nice food, great bird sanctuary, large premises, good rooms, attentive staff. Some furniture maintenance is suggested near rooms.

We were 9 of us, 3 kids and stayed overnight. The accommodation is very dated and matches a 1 star hotel standard. The cotton find mattress were moist, toilets were clean but old and needed reburb. The zip line was good, the bird experience was great. The food was good but the was poor. There were cats inside the dining hall and dogs at the door. All the staff were super helpful. I would have preferred paying a bit more for an resort that had get things to offer but at better standard.

The stay was wonderful, the place is in the lap of nature with enormous trees and plantation, also riverside and their exotic bird park experience is on next level. We can visit bird cage and experience their presence on our hand

Best place to stay and explore around. Staff is very very good, especially Suraj who manages everything and Manish who take cares of the bird sanctuary. Also, the staff members are working for there for almost 8-10 years, which is I think the rare scenario in hotel industry. Nonveg food is maharashtrian style and excellent! Veg is also pretty good. Location is beautiful and clean and tidy.

The great outdoors had always fascinated Mr. Neelkanth Bhide, the founder of Surya Shibir. An electrical engineer by profession, Late Shri Bhide - who was fondly called Anna - had a deep-rooted liking for nature. Concerned about the effects of the stressful city life on children's health, he took the initiative and started the camp site in 1997.For almost two decades now, Surya Shibir has been the favourite destination for children's camps. It is a safe and well-maintained place where children learn about the importance of nature conservation. They also get an opportunity to play, explore the wilderness and indulge in adventure activities.
Though Surya Shibir opened its gates originally as a nature camp for children, today it has developed into a sprawling Resort with superb amenities and it is a popular getaway for families and an emerging venue for corporate events.
