La Roseraie chambre d'hôtes côte d'opale

This place is not a hotel. I wish I’d looked closer on trip advisor. First the good bits. It is immaculately clean. The owners are very pleasant and eager to please, even though they speak no English, they were very helpful, they booked a restaurant for our evening meal. For anyone even vaguely unsteady on their feet, the access would be dangerous. There is a spiral staircase from the side of the building which goes right to the top floor. Endless steps on an open metal mesh stairway with horrible metal handrail! This is housed in a small extension on the side of the house. When you are up there, access to the rest of the house is locked off, and it stays locked until breakfast at 8.30! I’m not very nimble and found it almost impossible, I’m sure it would be very dangerous in an emergency. We had to leave at 8am to catch the shuttle so missed breakfast. The owner gave us a banana and a pan au chocolate. The gate from the road is electric with no harbourage, so it’s quite dodgy even gaining access with your car. It’s almost as if they don’t want guests in their beautiful house.

Superbe séjour à la Roseraie. Excellent petit déjeuner. Propriétaires super sympas et à l'écoute de leurs hôtes. Très bons conseils concernant les visites dans la région et le choix des restaurants. Pas d'hésitation, La Roseraie est vraiment à recommander pour des vacances en Côte d'Opale.
