Hoteles cerca del Jackson Park, Rotorua

I stayed here for two nights in May 2023. The hotel is located on the main street in Rotorua, about a 10-minute walk from the main shopping centre. Just up the road, about a 5-minute walk away, there are a couple of supermarkets. The airport is a 10-minute drive away. The hotel has plenty of parking. The room was very big with a small kitchenette, large bathroom, table and chairs etc. However, the room was showing its age and could do with an upgrade. Unfortunately the room was cold. I had the heating on but, given the size of the room, it took a long time to heat up. It was uncomfortable. There was no extra blanket for the bed. The wifi worked well. The service at the front desk was good. For what I paid, this hotel was good value. However, for my next trip to Rotorua, I would be prepared to pay a bit more for something warmer and more up to date.

Muy bueno y limpio. Reserva adelante para asegurar la disponibilidad de la habitación. Se pueden llegar completamente rápido. Muy bueno y honesto servicio de kiwi. También son muy flexibles y convenientemente ubicados lejos de la zona de publicidad bastante mala en Rotorua.

We just had an amazing 5 day stay! We had a family group of 8 (multi-generations) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabins were perfect, with comfy beds, nice linen, small kitchen with all the essentials, and a bathroom. The communal areas were lovely and clean and well equipped. Nice communal lounge with a fire place. The big pool was heated and the thermal hot pools were awesome! Kids had fun on the trikes and the bouncing pillow. The staff were very helpful, the housekeeping staff were fantastic. Thanks Tasman Bay!

La habitación no se cerró y se le dijo que no podía ser ordenada hasta el lunes, lo que es muy útil considerando que es el día en que nos encontramos. En el hotel, el hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentran los metros de la ciudad. El personal también era muy inútil y convenientemente no sabía cuándo el estacionamiento público fuera del edificio era gratuito, probablemente así tendríamos que pagar por su estacionamiento que es una tarifa oculta que no te dicen hasta que estés allí. Cada vez que caminamos por la recepción, se le dijo a un huésped diferente la misma mala información sobre el estacionamiento, así que deben saber, ya que a menudo los huéspedes lo preguntan. La habitación es una caja caliente absoluta y simplemente no puede estar allí durante el día porque es muy caliente con poco aire que pasa por las ventanas abiertas. La cocina de la ciudad es un buen lugar para caminar en la ciudad.

I'll start with the things I liked. The breakfast buffet. It was nice to have a quick way to get a good breakfast at the hotel. The decorating in the lobby was very nice. Now the not to nice parts: The room was cramped with 2 queen-sized beds. (Though it did have a refrigerator and kettle.) I opened the curtains to be surprised by shredded sheers. The wi-fi was very poor. The access is not handicap accessible. The front steps did not have a railing. The ramp was great for luggage, but would not have accommodated a wheelchair. (I have bad knees and use a cane.) They seems understaffed. A common problem throughout our trip. But the staff was helpful. They acknowledged the torn sheers and have plans to replace them all.

Estaba aquí 2 noches con mi familia, incluyendo un bebé. El cuarto era bastante espacioso. El personal era amable. La casa de la habitación es muy buena, pero no hay ningún problema. La habitación está bien, excepto para limpieza.

Me encanta este hotel. Para ser honesto, no esperaba mucho cuando se trataba de un hotel viejo y vintage. Pero cuando entré en el hotel, encontré que el hotel es muy especial y único. Sí, es viejo y vintage, pero también está bien mantenido. Para la habitación, me gusta porque tiene grandes ventanas incluyendo baño y el sol puede pasar. La ubicación me gusta porque está tan cerca de la parada central del autobús, Eatery Streets y Polynesian Spa. El hotel está muy bien equipado, pero el personal todavía ha hecho lo mejor que podía servir. Aquí me gusta el hotel, y me gusta el ambiente único, y me gustaría quedarme en los hoteles por un par más.

The positives first: The hotel is not terrible. It was not our first choice, but we ended up booking here, as well as booking our friends we were meeting here and another couple joined us for one night and paid for a room. We alerted the manager and he put us all on the the same floor, with a lake view. The room was clean. A little tight on space, but this is not a negative. Staff were friendly. The negatives: NO HOT WATER!! We stayed for 4 nights. One person out of 6 had a hot shower, as he showered just after we arrived. That was the last hot shower. The water was progressively colder, each day. And it was the whole hotel. This was the topic of conversation with every other hotel guest we happened to meet in the lift. We complained, every day. At each stage, we were told they were... waiting for someone to turn up...the problem was fixed but because everyone kept using the water it could not warm up...the problem was not fixed, they were waiting for someone from somewhere else. I think they had no idea and I did feel sorry for the staff, but a hot shower is absolutely a basic requirement. At no stage was there a note slipped under the door to apologise and ask us to bear with them. It was incredibly frustrating. It seems petty after this to mention the bathrooms also need a bit of care and smell very mildewy, but if it were not for the hot water issue, this would have been my main complaint. The last thing to mention, it rained the whole time we were there and the Ibis has no lounge area. We ended up sitting in one of the rooms, as a group, having a natter, like high schoolers. This is more of a Rotorua problem, though, as Rotorua seemed to shut down early and there was no where to just chat, in the evenings. Ibis Rotorua is not somewhere we will stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Lake top 10. Wish we had more time to stay and spend time there. We checked in a bit late and so didn’t get to enjoy the many amenities this place offers. It’s neat that they even have a little grocery shop to get some essentials for cooking. We also walked around the beautiful lake on the path right next to the camp grounds. The safari tent was my son’s favorite part and gave the camping experience but with much more comfort.

¡Nos encontramos en este maravilloso lugar, al reservar accidentalmente el último minuto durante nuestros viajes en NZ, tan afortunado! y decidimos reservar una noche extra porque nos encantó tanto! Danny y Mable son los más guapos hostes que nos ayudaron con nuestras actividades de planificación y nos arruinaron. El desayuno es absolutamente sorprendente: Mabel hace hermosas creaciones con frutas y platos deliciosos con productos locales, avocados y flores de su propio jardín. El personal contacto hace de este B&B un espectáculo absoluto y definitivamente recomienda que se quede si se da la oportunidad. Muchas gracias!!
