The positives first: The hotel is not terrible. It was not our first choice, but we ended up booking here, as well as booking our friends we were meeting here and another couple joined us for one night and paid for a room. We alerted the manager and he put us all on the the same floor, with a lake view. The room was clean. A little tight on space, but this is not a negative. Staff were friendly. The negatives: NO HOT WATER!! We stayed for 4 nights. One person out of 6 had a hot shower, as he showered just after we arrived. That was the last hot shower. The water was progressively colder, each day. And it was the whole hotel. This was the topic of conversation with every other hotel guest we happened to meet in the lift. We complained, every day. At each stage, we were told they were... waiting for someone to turn up...the problem was fixed but because everyone kept using the water it could not warm up...the problem was not fixed, they were waiting for someone from somewhere else. I think they had no idea and I did feel sorry for the staff, but a hot shower is absolutely a basic requirement. At no stage was there a note slipped under the door to apologise and ask us to bear with them. It was incredibly frustrating. It seems petty after this to mention the bathrooms also need a bit of care and smell very mildewy, but if it were not for the hot water issue, this would have been my main complaint. The last thing to mention, it rained the whole time we were there and the Ibis has no lounge area. We ended up sitting in one of the rooms, as a group, having a natter, like high schoolers. This is more of a Rotorua problem, though, as Rotorua seemed to shut down early and there was no where to just chat, in the evenings. Ibis Rotorua is not somewhere we will stay again.

The place was nice, but not as exceptional as we expected by others reviews. Things are a little worn in the room we were in. In the morning my wife went to use the spa/hot tub and after filling it with water she turned it on and it spewed out extremely dirty water. Manager said it was because the hotel was old. I disagree. - it simply needed a better cleaning. Use bleach and fill, run and refill the hot tub until it comes out clean. It’s not rocket science. They don’t offer any kind of refund but they did offer us a couple of candy bars and an apology.

We just had an amazing 5 day stay! We had a family group of 8 (multi-generations) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabins were perfect, with comfy beds, nice linen, small kitchen with all the essentials, and a bathroom. The communal areas were lovely and clean and well equipped. Nice communal lounge with a fire place. The big pool was heated and the thermal hot pools were awesome! Kids had fun on the trikes and the bouncing pillow. The staff were very helpful, the housekeeping staff were fantastic. Thanks Tasman Bay!

La habitación está bien, el baño está cerca de la higiene, hay pelo limpio en el armario antes. La variedad de desayuno es demasiado poca. Otros están bien.

We had pre-booked a different place but upon inspection decided not to stay there so went on a trip advisor hunt for an alternative. The Regal Palms came up with our dates and a fantastic rate. We drove there and were told those rooms were gone but Luxury suites available so a bit of a bait and switch and who knows whose at fault for that. That said … I really like this place. It reminds me of the higher end motels we used to stay in as a kid on road trips across the country. Heated, clean swimming pool, check. Well maintained mini golf course. Check. Outdoor barbecues with plenty of seating in clean areas. Check. Single, well tended tennis court Check. Table tennis. Check. Big spacious room with gargantua bathroom spa. King bed. Several density pillows to choose from. Fridge, two burner stove, microwave, hotpot, coffee maker. The only thing it lacks are breakfast restaurant and magic fingers bed (waaaaaaay back throw) Clean.

Newina es un hotel de tamaño medio, situado a 5 minutos del centro de las ciudades El gerente fue muy útil y tenía un excelente conocimiento de las atracciones turísticas de la zona. La habitación estaba limpia y nos alegramos de ver un patio privado con un enorme spa. También hay piscina y pequeña sala de conferencias. Lavandería completa situada en el piso. Muy asequible y definitivamente nos quedaremos de nuevo

Was one if the cheaper options for our dates, we were pleasantly surprised. It looked and smelt new, had elevators to our floor. Room was small but practical, had fridge and jug. Bed was a double and quite small and for some reason seemed short but we slept OK. Very clean and well kept. Had small full length widow that looked into small atrium of the other rooms. Only negative was when the toilet was flushed, a sewerage smell came up through the drain. Easy parking, bottle store and restaurant on site but didnt use. Situated almost opposite luge. Had a car so location to town was not an issue, however, there were fast food outlets within walking distance that we noticed anyway. Overall, was good for our needs and would stay again.

Hotel acogedor con preciosas vistas al lago. Ubicación tranquila y servicio de parking gratuito. Personal muy amable y atento en todo momento. Desayuno completo recién hecho a la carta. Dispone de piscinas (calientes y fría).

¡Nos encontramos en este maravilloso lugar, al reservar accidentalmente el último minuto durante nuestros viajes en NZ, tan afortunado! y decidimos reservar una noche extra porque nos encantó tanto! Danny y Mable son los más guapos hostes que nos ayudaron con nuestras actividades de planificación y nos arruinaron. El desayuno es absolutamente sorprendente: Mabel hace hermosas creaciones con frutas y platos deliciosos con productos locales, avocados y flores de su propio jardín. El personal contacto hace de este B&B un espectáculo absoluto y definitivamente recomienda que se quede si se da la oportunidad. Muchas gracias!!
