Hotel Sant'Angelo

We loved the hospitality, all the staff were so friendly especially Simone. The hotel is 5 minutes walking to Corso Cavour but still very quiete. Room was quite small for 2 of us with a tiny bathroom. I found the security of the building an issue as you are given a code to enter the building as there is not 24hrs reception but the main door of the building wasn’t locked when we were back after 10pm with nobody at reception desk

We just came back from our trip to Rome! 🏛️ We absolutely loved the hospitality, all the staff were so friendly especially Miss Maria Rosario, a credit to the hotel!! The location was very nice, close to everything! The room was nice for two people, and the fact that they were offering coffee everyday and some snacks was a nice touch!!! We will be definitely coming back!!!

My wife and I stayed here this week for a couple of nights. The hotel was not as I was expecting. First, the hotel has a smell in the hallways - not quite sure what it is. Second, the shower and bathroom were so tiny. You could barely turn around in the shower. Third, the hotel was not very secure. They made a point of giving us a guest access code for the front doors yet on Saturday am when we were leaving at 07:00, the doors were wide open with not an employee in sight. Also, reception isn’t there till 08:00 so no formal checkout available. My wife and I also got a kick out of how we arrived for check in at 14:40 but couldn’t check in until 15:00. Does 20 minutes really make a difference? Lastly, there was no breakfast. The continental breakfast they boast on their website was nothing more than a table in front of the reception desk with nothing on it. The rooms were fairly clean and it does have a good location; however, for the money they are charging, it’s not worth it. The hotel was booked through *********** - they need to do a better job of vetting the hotels.

Cleaning staff stole my hat, which was left in the room. Front reception not helpful in addressing this with cleaning staff and retrieving the hat. Communication with staff is very poor. Hot water comes and goes. The door to the hall is somewhat noisy. Would not recommend.

Pros: Location. This hotel is located in an area which is convenient to walking to most tourist venues. Restaurants. Many good restaurants within walking distance. Staff. The staff was helpful and polite. However, we were not given any information about a happy hour, free breakfast, or terrace which I have read about in other reviews. Cons: Rooms. Our room was VERY small. No closet or drawer space. Bed was so low that it was practically on the floor and very small for 2 average size people. Shower was so small that you could barely turn around and the shower doors did not close all the way. The toilet ran at night (Plummer tried to fix it). The air conditioning was not turned on, even though temps were in upper 80’s. They turned the humidifier on and said they don’t turn air on in early May. One drinking glass in the room. Cleanliness: The dirty, worn carpets leading into the foyer and staircase need to be replaced. Food items in the office were uncovered and remained there for the 2 days we were there. Electrical outlets: The outlets are not conducive to American plugs. Which would be okay, but that is not in their advertisement or literature. We bought converters for $5 each, but I would think a hotel would supply these, since everyone needs to charge their phones at least. Noise: We could hear people on the street partying until 2 am We were looking forward to staying in a cute boutique hotel while in Rome, but this was quite a disappointment.

Prenotate nella sede principale, le camere nella dépendance sono a due poco minimal, con mobilio vecchio e davvero con un bisogno estremo di ristrutturazione. Di sicuro ha una posizione fantastica per poter girare tutta Roma sia a piedi che con i mezzi (dalla vicinissima piazza Cavour partono tantissimi autobus, San Pietro è a pochi km, castel Sant’Angelo è a 2 passi).

L’unico aspetto positivo è risultato essere la posizione (nei pressi della Corte di Cassazione) e la cortesia del gestore; per il resto, struttura vecchia e camere vetuste; il bagno e la relativa doccia, poi, sono di dimensioni eccessivamente piccole.

Il pregio di questo hotel è la posizione fantastica e il personale gentile. Le pecche invece sono la pulizia , che lascia molto a desiderare e anche la poca cura delle camere ( lenzuola senza angoli , piuttosto che accessori del bagno vecchi o inesistenti ). Il prezzo lo rende molto conveniente però potrebbero curare molto di più le cose sopraelencate.
