"My partner and I have just returned from a week’s stay at Hotel Unda. I was trying to think of a single word to describe the experience for this review… words like “exemplary”, “sensational” or “unrivalled” may sound cliched; they are not even close in describing this new hotel on the northern coast of Corfu. I could not recommend this hotel more highly. The aesthetics and design of this hotel are beautiful. The staff are incredibly professional - if very busy at times… which can delay service just for a fleeting moment… but please remember you’re in Corfu, on holiday at the most fabulous hotel; deadlines and other priorities should be a distant memory. To single out specific individuals on the team would be a disservice to those not mentioned as It’s clear they are all so wedded to the success of this new establishment. So what would I change or suggest as very discerning improvements…? I want this new hotel to be a success! The hotel staff deserve this at the very least… they are all so lovely. Easier access to the sea - I love swimming in the ocean and do it all year round. The sea water just metres from the hotel is simply stunning. Bring water shoes to allow easier walking across the pebbles. Once in, the sand is fabulous. The hotel organises some wonderful live music events. They are very cool. As a thought I’d love to see a huge bbq event for guests every week / month… just to mix up the menu slightly."

"Recently returned from a week’s stay in this fab hotel. I travelled with my 17 year old grand daughter. Neither of us could fault our experience. Spotlessly clean room (202) , beautiful bathroom, comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. The pool is gorgeous, and so well cared for, as are the gardens. No sunbed wars here, plenty to go around. The pool snack bar and drinks bar are both great. The staff are so nice, that goes for the cleaners too. Smiles and chats from every one of them, especially Spiros, nothing is too much trouble for him, he is so pleasant and really passionate about his job making us holiday makers happy. Thank you! Ten minute walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, bars and bistros. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and the resort itself. We most definitely should have done longer than 7 days."

Hotel Milton ★★

"Reservamos nuestras vacaciones en Roda, Corfú, a través de Love Holidays, con traslados desde el aeropuerto proporcionados por TLT. Desafortunadamente, nuestras vacaciones comenzaron de forma preocupante. Durante el traslado desde el aeropuerto, el vehículo hacía ruidos alarmantes cada vez que se aplicaban los frenos, lo que hizo que el viaje se sintiera inseguro y bastante aterrador. Lo reportamos y, afortunadamente, el traslado de regreso fue mucho mejor. Al llegar al Hotel Milton, recibimos una bienvenida bastante fría. En lugar de sentirnos bienvenidos, inmediatamente nos presentaron una lista de reglas y nos informaron que el aire acondicionado costaría 10 € adicionales por día. Teniendo en cuenta que habíamos pagado alrededor de 600 £ cada uno por lo que ya era un hotel básico de dos estrellas, esto fue decepcionante. El hotel en sí era antiguo pero limpio. La ducha no tenía soporte, lo cual fue un inconveniente, pero nos las arreglamos. La zona de la piscina era agradable y el desayuno era bueno, lo cual fueron definitivamente positivos. La parte más decepcionante de nuestra estancia fue la forma en que fuimos tratados por el propietario. Una noche, mi esposo, que no se encontraba bien, y yo oímos un fuerte ruido vibratorio proveniente de la habitación contigua que duró unos 20 minutos. No nos quejábamos; simplemente queríamos saber qué era, ya que no sabíamos si continuaría durante la noche. La respuesta de la dueña fue inesperada. Se negó a investigar el origen del ruido, acusó a mi esposo de ser verbalmente abusivo y exclamó: "¡Este es mi hotel!". Nos quedamos atónitos, ya que la conversación solo había girado en torno al ruido. Al día siguiente, nos enteramos de que había hablado mal de nosotros con otros huéspedes, lo que nos hizo sentir avergonzados, juzgados y muy incómodos. En mi opinión, hablar mal de los huéspedes con otros huéspedes es poco profesional y no es lo que esperaría de alguien que trabaja en el sector de la hostelería. Durante nuestra estancia, el ambiente era muy poco cálido y acogedor. El hotel parecía estar dominado por las normas en lugar de la hospitalidad, y carecía del ambiente relajado de vacaciones que esperábamos. Elegimos el Hotel Milton porque habíamos leído que muchos huéspedes regresaban año tras año, a pesar de ser un hotel de dos estrellas, así que esperábamos un ambiente agradable y acogedor. A pesar de esta experiencia, me encantó Roda. El complejo es precioso y la gente local fue increíblemente amable y hospitalaria. Volvería encantada a Roda en el futuro, pero lamentablemente no me alojaría de nuevo en el Hotel Milton debido a la falta de hospitalidad y profesionalidad que experimentamos."

"A warm welcome awaits you at the Kosmas. George is the kindest and most laid back guy I've ever known. He and his family ensure you want for nothing. Studios are currently being upgraded but are comfortable and well equipped. The pool area and bar is the heart of the place. Totally recommend the Greek night the food is amazing. Coming back in October as a solo traveller I know that I'll be well cared for and safe See you soon 😊"

"Another fabulous holiday at Villa Eleni, I cannot praise this accommodation enough. My husband and I had a two bedroom apartment which had every facility we could wish for. I'm almost frightened to praise it too much incase it gets booked out! Eleni, Socrates and Nikos are perfect hosts, they make everyone feel special and constantly ask if there's anything we need. Often we got lovely surprises of delicious cakes along with a welcome pack of water, juice and cookies. Toiletries are provided as is a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. The apartment is central to everything we loved, a beautiful beach, brilliant restaurants and evening entertainment. We were so sorry to leave but we will return next year and have booked to come back in June and September. Thanks so much Eleni and your lovely family for everything. Love Marion and Stewart. "
