Estaba en el Denison anoche. Fue una experiencia maravillosa. El decoro es victoriano/federación y las instalaciones fueron deliciosas, limpias y muy cómodas. El personal nos saludó cordialmente y nos hizo bienvenidos incluso pensando que era muy tarde en el día. La habitación era muy bonita, muy recomendada si quieres quedarte en un lugar que ozó el encanto del viejo mundo desde una era pasada, pero con todas las comodidades modernas. La única observación que hemos tenido fue que la cama, mientras que la enorme y cómoda tenía una matriz y cucharas más suaves de lo que nos costumamos. No es una crítica, es sólo una preferencia personal. De lo contrario, perfecto.

We stayed for two separate nights (on our way down to and back from the Gold Coast - road tripping from Cairns) and both nights were great. The rooms were clean, check in was very easy and then after hours check out was easy as well. There was a kettle & microwave as standard in both rooms we stayed in, which was great to quickly heat a meal & make a hot drink after a long day of driving. We had to change the date of our second night on the way home, and the staff on the phone was always very helpful and understanding each time we had to call & change the date. Would definitely stay again if we were driving through again and needed a place to stay in Rocky for the night. The pricing was great for a small, clean room that was needed just as a stop over for a night.

El gerente es la peor persona que he tratado desde hace mucho tiempo, ha roto este lugar en 6 meses. La cama era como una roca, la cama estaba rocada, la microondas y el frigorífico no funcionaban, no hay toallas, no hay secador de pelo, no hay Wif, la piscina no está cubierta y todo el lugar es tan malo que me dejé después de 1 noche. El gerente no dijo que no se preocupara, entendió. Luego se negó a ningún reembolso y ha ignorado todas las correspondencias de mí. I spent 2 nights at Edge apartments last week while in Rockhampton. Check in was quick and friendly, and I was advised to park anywhere available in the carpark. Going into the carpark, there was nothing available and I ended up parking on the street. On the second night, again I drove through the car park but there were no spaces available, so also ended up parking on the street. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. A reverse cycle air conditioner was included, and there was a fridge, sink and microwave in the room. Wifi is provided free of charge and it works. The room was incredibly hot when I arrived at it, but after an hour the aircon had worked and cooled it down. There is an Indian restaurant and bar on the ground floor, which I highly recommend. Excellent food. It is a short walk to the shopping centre, and there is a river nearby which is good for walking along. As a big benefit, the Edge does not charge any surcharge of paying by credit card. Hotels have been one of the most bullish industries in applying surcharges, despite enjoying more benefits than other industries (booking guarantees, pre-authorisations, charging for no-shows, charging for late charges, avoiding large cash transactions), so it was VERY welcome that the quoted price at Edge is the actual price that you pay without a surcharge. I would happily stay here again for a short stay in Rockhampton (but bear in mind the lack of parking).

I spent 2 nights at Edge apartments last week while in Rockhampton. Check in was quick and friendly, and I was advised to park anywhere available in the carpark. Going into the carpark, there was nothing available and I ended up parking on the street. On the second night, again I drove through the car park but there were no spaces available, so also ended up parking on the street. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. A reverse cycle air conditioner was included, and there was a fridge, sink and microwave in the room. Wifi is provided free of charge and it works. The room was incredibly hot when I arrived at it, but after an hour the aircon had worked and cooled it down. There is an Indian restaurant and bar on the ground floor, which I highly recommend. Excellent food. It is a short walk to the shopping centre, and there is a river nearby which is good for walking along. As a big benefit, the Edge does not charge any surcharge of paying by credit card. Hotels have been one of the most bullish industries in applying surcharges, despite enjoying more benefits than other industries (booking guarantees, pre-authorisations, charging for no-shows, charging for late charges, avoiding large cash transactions), so it was VERY welcome that the quoted price at Edge is the actual price that you pay without a surcharge. I would happily stay here again for a short stay in Rockhampton (but bear in mind the lack of parking).

Estaba en el Denison anoche. Fue una experiencia maravillosa. El decoro es victoriano/federación y las instalaciones fueron deliciosas, limpias y muy cómodas. El personal nos saludó cordialmente y nos hizo bienvenidos incluso pensando que era muy tarde en el día. La habitación era muy bonita, muy recomendada si quieres quedarte en un lugar que ozó el encanto del viejo mundo desde una era pasada, pero con todas las comodidades modernas. La única observación que hemos tenido fue que la cama, mientras que la enorme y cómoda tenía una matriz y cucharas más suaves de lo que nos costumamos. No es una crítica, es sólo una preferencia personal. De lo contrario, perfecto.
