I had another good overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Express Manchester Airport today arriving at 2am rather tired to say the least.
I got a Black cab Taxi from Terminal 2 which was £9 but I gave a tip on top of the cost.
I was allocated Room 36 on the ground floor, which was easily accessible. It was warm and clean with a lovely comfy double bed. I woke up refreshed and ready to continue my journey home.
Tea and coffee facilities were available and also shower gel/shampoo that saved me searching through my suitcase to find my own.
Breakfast was very good in my opinion offering a choice of cereals, yoghurt, croissants and a choice of hot or fruit juice drinks. Being vegetarian I had sausage cooked on request. I accompanied this with piping hot scrambled egg, beans and toast.
There is bacon and sausage available for non vegetarians
The Taxi back was £14! You have to pay £5 included in the price to be dropped off at the terminals or train station. The driver tried to charge me £16 but I challenged the cost. I can't get my head around the difference of prices each time I go either to the Holiday Inn or Premier Inn.
I wish that they provided a shuttle bus like Premier Inn do to take you back to the airport or station, which only costs a fraction of the price that Taxis do.
All in all I had an enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn Express and will use them again for my future trips
