The Ixian Grand & All Suites

From the moment we arrived we were treated well and wowed by the spectacular foyer and welcoming reception area. The check in was smooth and we were very kindly assisted to our room by a very pleasant concierge who graciously declined our offer of a tip, saying that it wasn't needed. We arrived late at night, after the restaurants had closed but they provided sandwiches and drinks to satiate us overnight. The staff were very pleasant and always greeted us with a smile. The all inclusive buffet was extensive and varied, so you could try something different from the available selection each day. (NB: I think if you were staying longer than a week you might find the overall selection repeats and you could feel a little limited). The cocktail were good and plentiful as was the ever smiling service. Our booking in the a-la-carte restaurant was a very pleasant evening indeed. The food was very tasty good quality and elegantly presented. My wife enjoyed the full 'Fabulous' facial and the spa staff were extremely pleasant. Shout out to Evi and Ausra for the exceptional warmth and friendship they have shown to us too. The local buses were easy to navigate to nearby towns or places of interest and there were taxis available for those more specific places. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you would like to kick back and enjoy quality nightly poolside entertainment, a great ambience, beautiful scenery and a great eating and drinking experience.

Staff are fantastic 👏 facilities are great. Spa was lovely, Panagiota was heaven sent. Best massage I've ever had. Buffet offers a fantastic selection for all meals.

Have the most amazing massage within the spa with Eva and panagiota. Very professional , spa was immaculate . Great treatment. Would recommend to anyone coming to stay here . The spa was very clean and cosy . There is a pool to relax by too . 10/10

Wonderful friendly staff, food was excellent and rooms were modern. Drinks came fast and were good, would definitely go again.

Generally we’re easygoing holiday makers and we don’t write reviews just for the sake of complaining so this is an honest evaluation: Positives: - staff were exceptional. Always friendly, welcoming and helpful - I lost a present for my wife in our room (unawares to me). one of the staff found it and returned it to us. Very courteous. - rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable - pool areas are excellent - beach area also very good - the entertainment was great, especially the girl group from South Africa Negatives: - avoid room 127 which is directly above the bar/foyer. The noise from below is unbearable and we had to move rooms the next day, which was very inconvenient. - the food was very repetitive and a bit boring. If you’re staying for 7 days you may get fed up very quickly. - the spa staff constantly hound you to sign up for treatments. This can be very annoying and maybe better for the hotel to offer a package rather than letting the staff bother holiday makers - although the rooms are nice, they are a little dated and there were some aspects clearly below par (I.e. the iron & ironing board)

This hotel is truly worth a five star review. Friendly and courteous staff. Beautiful interior and exterior. Very clean. Very comfortable bed in a large room with en-suite. We went all inclusive and found the food to be excellent. Wide choice at each sitting and consistent high quality ingredients and presentation. The hotel has three good sized swimming pools one of which is in a quiet garden setting. There is direct access to the beach (pebbles not sandy) with a swimming platform and sun loungers. The pool bar serves alcoholic and soft drinks and coffee all day. Plenty of space for sunbathing and no part of the hotel feels crowded. There was free entertainment each night in the main reception seating area which was a good standard. We were relaxed as soon as we arrived and soon forgot what day it was (always my gauge of how good a holiday I’m having).

We had a deluxe room with spa bath and sea view. The room was spacious, with a partition door, although this was very difficult to pull back. The view from the balcony was stunning, and the food was good, however the lack of things to do in the evening needs addressing. One night they had 3 female singers who were fantastic, and got the crowd dancing, although the space where they performed was odd, as this was in reception, and finished early. The hotel needs to consider entertainment every night, for longer, and in a more appropriate area. After 10pm, there is nothing to do, and very few chairs near the bar area. One night, we even had to sit at the empty rent-a-car desk, but we made our own fun. This didn’t reflect the luxury of the rest of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the waiters very attentive. The choice of food was good, although some breakfast items were not hot enough. The pool area and beach were great, with plenty of sunbeds. The alcohol included was not the best, but adequate. We did pay extra for a spa treatment, but feel that for the price, it wasn’t worth it as the focus was on the up-sell, rather than the experience. There was an elaborate introduction to get us to agree a treatment which sadly didn’t deliver to that level. The shower in our lovely room was the only disappointment. It had no screen and the pressure was non existent, leaving water all over the place. We had to use the pool towels to clean up every day. It seems the room wasn’t best design for convenience as also there wasn’t a mirror in one of the bathrooms. A taxi into the old/new town was only 13 euros and took 15 mins. Good location for shopping, but nothing in walking distance from the resort. Overall, the hotel is lovely but they need to address the evening activities.

Lovely staff, comfy bed, great variety of food, the other restaurant on site has lovely food. Everything is very clean. Had a Greek massage at the spa from Mili and Kostas, highly recommend, we both left feeling relaxed and pain free. Out door bar is close to the beach, fun entertainment on the evenings at the inside bar and close to local bars and food such as Phillips Bar. Rhodes town is only a short bus ride away. Thank you

A very nice hotel. Well maintained. Lovely staff. Excellent well equipped room. Nice views. Plenty of choice in the buffet restaurant with two other restaurants to use if you fancy. Spa staff do walk around trying to sell services but not excessively, only twice in a week did they approach. Shop on site is handy. Bit of a queue for drinks at the bar in the evenings and only small glasses but not too bad at the start of the season. Pool bar and snack bar to use all day. Nice sandwiches! Mixture of entertainment in the evenings was decent. Overall we really enjoyed it and would recommend.
