Apartamentos Solana

Well all I'm gonna say is that I found this apartment everything that was needed, so many ppl slagging off their stay here but it did the job, nice pool view, clean and tidy little dated but due a refurbishment next month, pool was lovely and clean and broc the barman in his little shack was the nicest guy, buy a drink get a shot or two, walked down the 200 steps sometimes walked back up in the evening but only costs €4 in cab and the same to go up to europa center, would Definitely go back but will be all new by then.

Stayed here on 22/02/24 - 29/02/24 worst hotel ever stayed at firstly 66 steep steps to our room (125) only 2 plug sockets in the apartment only really sleeps 2 as there is no sofa bed very outdated door handle broken off on inside of door reception not open most of the time mini market onsite waste of time when hotel booked taxi for us still had to wait 45 minutes (never ever waited so long for a taxi ) staff we polite that’s only good thing about the place. Sorry but would never stay here again booked with on the beach and cost over 200 per person total over £600 per room totally not worth it , there are better and cheaper places to stay

We have just come back from the solana the reviews what was put on here is all wrong we had a brilliant time the rooms were very clean Brock the bar man was absolutely great round the pool was always very clean the cleaner came round every day so I would advise people not to read the negative reviews you would never go away if you did we met some great people there and YES we would definitely go back there

Arrived after 8pm and reception was closed. Notice on window with my name saying Room 126 - key in door. (Not very security conscious for a female traveller). First thought on entering the room - OMG, what have we done? The most basic of rooms, self catering but there was no kettle, no toaster, 2 electric rings, no grill or oven, no air con. Fans toaster, kettle etc have to be hired. Beds squeaked whenever you moved. Bed linen was clean but the pillow smelled like sweaty head. Towels and bedding were not changed for a week. There was a blood stain on the livingroom unit when we arrived that was never cleaned. We stayed 11 days and towels and sheets were only changed once. The pool was nice and clean and the barman, Brok couldn't have been more helpful. The first 2 weeks of October, several "mates" arrive en-masse and take over the sunbeds at the deep end of the pool, depositing their towels and lilos before dawn and leaving them there all day. Ideal if you want to get drunk and party until 5am every night. Not much use if you want to sleep.

Ok the hotel is clean basic but does the job, Yes the walk into town can be a bit. Tiresome stairs and more stairs , walking back is alot worse lol €5 in taxi from town, I was apprehensive due to some reviews mentioning late night loud noise from clubs and others no mention of it ! Anyone who didn’t mention it is either a liar or they are the ones in town till 5 am partying ! It’s on all night every night, without fail , I use ear plugs at night they sort of helped , but some nights it’s like they cranked it up even louder at 4 am , the doors and windows are not sound soundproof. So good luck ! It’s a shame other than this I would have stayed here again ! But I like my sleep ! Puerto Rico is nice, very Brit friendly tourism. Fry up and cheap beer , not really my cup of tea prefer authentic Spain, I generally got approached at least 3 times a day. Being offered *****. It’s a bit of a shame. I actual had nice holiday visiting nice places , and if I was 20 again ***** and. Partying would have been cool with, but k ow I Go out nice meal few glasses of wine back to hotel chill few glasses on balcony And tucked up by midnight, I’d my idea of a wild night lol Great staff specially bar man very friendly Would I stay again, No and that’s based on noise , so not hotels fault ! Double glazing could help. ! I would come to island again. but would pick a quieter place, Bea he’s here are. Lovely, I’ve not let the noise ruin my holiday had a great time.

This hotel is disgusting. When we first arrived we got to the room and the bed had cigarette burns in the sheets. There was womens hair stuck to the floors. When we complained to the staff we was looked at like we was wrong for asking for a clean room. The balcony door would not lock so room was not secure. Foam hanging out of the matress where damaged mattress covers are on the mattresses. Curtains was hanging off the rails. The shower was broken and had to ask for a new one that was replaced by another rooms shower. When we reported all the above we was told by LOVE HOLIDAYS that the hotel had given a statement to say we had not made any complaints or raised any to the hotel staff. Absolutely vile hotel absolutely ruined my holiday. The pictures they advertise are fake and they hide all the rubbish under the back of the building under your balcony to your room.

Not accessible at all for anyone with mobility issues which should be clearly stated!! Rooms very basic tho clean lovely views from the balcony and pool looked nice. Shop only had water and pop when it was open and the pool bar opened very late. Charges for a kettle etc. get what u pay for not very helpful

Arrived on 18th Feb in the evening (8pm) reception closed with a note on the door saying our room number and key in the door. We were located on bottom floor 124 so had to go down three flights of steps with all our cases to our room which wasn’t great. Room was basic but clean, furniture was old and worn but that didn’t really put us off. The view from the balcony was over looking the resort below ( nice at night when it was all lit up. ( can be noisy upto 3am from the disco bars but can’t really here it from the bedroom. The pool area was nice but the sunbeds didn’t move, you couldn’t lift or lower the headrest part so was stuck at flat. Didn’t eat from the small hut/bar that was on the premises so can’t really comment on that. Now for the worst part The STEPS. To get down to the resort you have to walk down many many steps it’s ok to walk down but a killer to get back up. I would suggest getting a taxi back up ( 3.5 euro) I did know there were steps at the resort but didn’t realise that they were so steep or I don’t think I would have booked Solana. The resort itself- lots of bars and restaurants to suit all budgets - for example we paid 4.99 euro for a full English breakfast at Delilah’s it was lovely and the ladies serving were delightful. Also ate at Bubbles had chicken in mushroom sauce with salad and chips and then chicken fajitas another night which were both really tasty. We also ordered a takeaway curry from delhi dobar and had it delivered to apartment that was amazing ( the restaurant itself is in the main shopping centre. We paid on average 38 euro for starters mains and drinks for 2 There is a McDonald’s too in the resort which is quite handy for lunch. The beach was lovely but can get very overcrowded ( we paid 7 euro for 2 sun beds to hire. You can get a boat to Mogan which cost 14 euro return each but you can also get the local bus which cost 3.05 euro return each ( no brainer which one we chose) the bus station is just by the park and you can get buses to everywhere. We took a bus to Maspalomas for 6 euro each return. Overall Puerto Rico is very nice and clean and the locals are Friendly. It was a cheap getaway In Feb and the weather was around 26’ degrees some days which was great. Would I stay at solana again … I would if it wasn’t up so many steps.

I loved my stay don't listen to the bad reviews,my room 116 was spotless cleaners came in daily,the pool was amazing and the views from my balcony,its not 5☆ but was comfy and had everything I needed,the staff were all lovely,I wouldn't recommend people to stay with a disability ,I will definitely be using the solana again I had a lovely relaxing stay many thanks to the staff see you again in the near future😍
