El hotel está cerca de la playa, nuestra habitación era muy agradable, con balcón y todo. Parece que todo estaba limpio y arreglado. ¡Nos gusta mucho, recomienda y volvemos!

¡Qué hotel subestimado! Amo la puerta y la arquitectura! Me hacía pensar en Geoffry Bawa en Sri Lanka o en las casas de 50 en Beverly Hills ... He estado en muchos hoteles con muchas piscinas pero este era el diseño sabio el mejor que he tenido para mí! Segundo año consecutivo en el hotel, y aunque el lugar sigue siendo estupendo en la isla, no se corresponde el precio que hemos pagado con el servicio, con lo que este ha sido por desgracia la última vez que nos alojaremos allí. Teníamos una reserva para cinco noches y nos cancelaron el vuelo, con lo cual llamamos enseguida para ver qué podríamos hacer y la respuesta fue que no nos preocupáramos y que gestionasemos el vuelo. Pudimos mover las fechas para ir tres días después y quedarnos cuatro noches, y la sorpresa fue que al volver a llamar nos encontramos con que nos remiten al servicio de reservas de pestana, y ahí directamente nos timan. Y lo digo así porque nos cambian las cinco noches por cuatro a un precio superior al de su web por ese período (y un incremento de casi 200€ en el precio final por una noche menos) y encima nos intentan ofrecer una habitación superior(que ya la tuvimos el año pasado y no merece la pena para nada) para todavía sangrarnos más. En este punto, ya no teníamos opción más que cogerlo porque teníamos el vuelo cambiado así que pagamos lo que nos pidieron y listo. Reclamamos pero lo único que conseguimos fue una llamada de teléfono donde nadie nos escuchó y un mail diciendo que el precio sería el acordado. Cuando llegamos al hotel, al hacer el check-in trasladamos nuestra queja y solicitamos al menos que el último día pudiéramos hacer uso de nuestra habitación todo el día, dado que habíamos pagado una noche menos por un precio superior, y tuvimos que esperar dos días a que nos confirmaran (esto cuando el hotel no estaba ni la mitad de lleno que el año pasado y el año pasado si pagabas creo que eran 30€ podías dejarla a las 18h). Esa misma noche del check-in, la costumbre el el hotel es que te vas a cenar y ellos te llevan el equipaje a la habitación. Para ello te dan unas pegatinas muy cutres con el número de habitación escrita. Bueno, llegamos a la habitación y nos falta un bulto, llamamos a recepción y no saben dónde está. Bajamos a recepción y está tirada en una esquina, nos quejamos y el chico que se encarga de ello encima se pone chulo e intenta buscar excusas como si fuera culpa nuestra, que nos había llamado, y no sé qué. ¿ Cómo nos va a llamar si era imposible que supiera de quién era la mochila? Y lo peor no fue eso, sino que la mochila en cuestión estaba enganchada a una maleta que sí que estaba en la habitación, es decir, las separó pero como este año el servicio era de prácticas, inexperto, sin ganas, etc. Pues luego no se acordó seguramente de que iba junto... En cuanto a la estancia en general, el servicio de comedor sigue como siempre, aunque notamos menos calidad muy variedad que el año pasado. El año pasado los pescados variaban más y estaba todo buenísimo, y este año eran menos las opciones y la restitución cuando se terminaba algo era lenta o incluso te decían que no iban a sacar más y luego nos pasó alguna vez que al final sacaron cuando ya habíamos optado por otra opción. I am currently enjoying my last full day at the hotel with my family. It was the ideal location and hotel to spend family holidays with a 3-year old toddler. The hotel itself is conveniently located a few meters away from the beach. The apartments were renovated recently and are well equipped with 2 lcd big screen tvs and AC. The bed itself is super comfortable and there’s a sofa bed which is handy. All of the ambience is super relaxed and calm. All of the staff at the reception, bars and restaurant is very friendly and welcoming, always doing their best to accommodate their guests. Just to give one example, one of the pool bar attendants went to the breakfast kitchen (which was closed in the afternoon) just to get a yogurt for our toddler. We also had an issue with our room and were promptly given the option to move. The meals are one of the best things in this hotel. Every lunch there are freshly grilled fish and meat options by the pool. They also have other a-la-carte options throughout the day. Dinner is superb, every night a different 3 course gourmet meal, served at the restaurant. They cater different meals for the kids as well, if necessary. The all inclusive plus option is definitely worthy, because it gives us access to all of this and much more, like access to the spa, sun beds at the beach and late checkout (still to be seen tomorrow). For those who look for more animation and fun, there’s full access to the Vila Baleira Hotel which is at a walking distance. I definitely will recommend Vila Baleira Suites to my friends and family, and hope to return in the future.

Good Hotel with very friendly and welcoming Staff. They offered us a free room upgrade to a suite that it was much appreciated. The suite was super spacious, with 2 separate bedrooms and 2x balconies with amazing sea views. We highly recommend booking a suite type of room (main building). The food is good and varied. However, some of the food was not identified especially at the Dunas Restaurant so it was difficult to understand what was it and contained (might be a problem for people with allergies/intolerances). Note: Majority of the food is bland and it will be required salt to be added separately if you like flavoured food. The drinks were okay, not much selection of cocktails unless if you go AI Plus. However, I would suggest to be served in reusable plastic cups like other Hotels instead of paper cups that stay all “mushy” after a while (still helps the planet considering it’s reusable). The Hotel has direct access to the beach (which is beautiful!) and has a beach bar (but not included for AI customers, only AI Plus). Also has sun lounges and parasols but needs to be paid extra. The Hotel has plenty of activities during the day & nice shows at night. The Animation Team is amazing and we had always a good time with them! Without the Animation Team the Hotel would be just average. They are really the light of this Hotel! We would just kindly suggest that during the activities they ensure that there is always someone that speaks portuguese (a few times it was only spoken italian - nothing against the language, it is a beautiful language, but sometimes was hard to understand everything and follow the instructions, thus fully enjoy the activities). Apart of portuguese, I would also suggest to be spoken english considering it is the universal language and more people would understand and engage in the activities. Apart of that we highly praise the animation team and their activities throughout the day & night. The Spa was good however they only give 45min slots which was not sufficient to try everything at the water circuit (we suggest the time to be increased to 1h and/or reduce the number of people per slot). Note: You will need a swim cap, otherwise you will pay 4 euros for one. The Hotel surroundings are beautiful with well kept gardens. Overall: Nice Hotel that wins for its beachfront location, Staff and Animation Team!

We've spent 3 days in this little gem. Felt like ages before we managed to get there from the port, but it was worth it. Our room on the 1st floor was huge and very comfortable. The balcony was amazing, although transparent glass makes you very exposed. Breakfast massive and tasty, occasionally we had a cat visiting us and allowing chosen few to feed him. If you want to go to town, there is a bus (not too frequent but doable), or you can have a nice long walk. And of course, there is THE beach. A few mins walk from the hotel you get into the long, sandy and mostly empty heaven. Definitely on my list to return, both the beach and the hotel. A word of caution: balcony door is very heavy! Moving it was like going to the gym!
