Un hermoso hotel de playa que es perfecto para las caminatas románticas y una alternativa más barata, aunque aún de lujo, a los hoteles estándar de 5 estrellas. El hotel está muy lejos del centro de la estripa/ciudad y los precios de los taxis no son muy baratos en Madeira. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y impresionantes, muy bien valer con una gran selección de desayuno buffet y un montón de restaurantes/opciones para cenar. En general, un estupendo estancia con un personal muy amigable, sin embargo, si usted está buscando hacer una gran visita en Madeira, este hotel no es la mejor opción a menos que se deja una cantidad significativa para viajar.

Hotel au milieu de la montagne, jolies vues, très bons repas, personnel très gentil Un peu vieux en terme de deco, nous avons eu froid dans la pièce commune et en dormant (manque de couverture), lit très inconfortable…

Very nice and conveniently located 4* hotel. Offers peace and quiet, lovely breakfast with multiple international options. It has a swimming pool which I have not used due to colder temperatures in December (20C degrees). The Aerobus stop is next to the hotel (the airport bus for €5 single trip) and the return trip bus stop #15 is on the opposite side of the road. Also the Red open top Funchal Sightseeing Bus has its stop at the same places. The room service at the hotel is regular and effective. The Reception team is very helpful and fluent in foreign languages. The hotel provides guests with a kettle and a few instant coffee sachets and Tetley teabags. Tetley tea is a big brand in Madeira- it is served at almost every restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, bottled mineral water is not provided on a daily basis. We got just one 1.5 l bottle on the day one of our 6 days stay and that was it. The interior design style of the hotel is modern- very pleasant and comfortable. We had a side view on the sea from the hotel window which was beautiful especially during the sunset. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were on the soft side, a bit too soft for me. We had extra pillows and extra duvet available in the room as well as a good quality hairdryer. The bathroom had a transparent glass door as well as the shower cabin. The TV had all the international cable TV, which was very helpful to keep in touch with the daily news. I would definitely stay at Villa Baleira again.

Un Hotel que no se merece las 5 estrellas yo le pindria 3.En primer lugar las habitaciones muy pequeñas y con bañera hoy en dia se lleva plato de ducha,en segundo lugar me parece triste que la mayoria del personal no sepa hablar español en un 5 estrellas.Seguimos por la comida poco variada y a parte el horario era hasta las 2:30 pero el problema esta en que a las 2:31 te quitaban ya la comida triste y lentable porque el que entra a las 2:30 tiene derecho a comer y por ultimo decir que hay una piscina que pone solo para adultos pero esta llena de niños de seguido y despues es lamentable que la gente ocupe hamacas y no aparecen por alli durante horas.No volvere a ese hotel si a Madeira que me ha gustado

Estive hospedado no hotel Alto do Lido no Funchal e adorei a simpatia e profissionalismo de todo o staff. O meu especial agradecimento à D Teresa e Francisco da receção que foram como família sempre muito atentos às nossas necessidades.No setor da restauração o chefe de sala que não sei o nome mas quando chegávamos para tomar pequeno almoço era de uma simpatia extrema e recomendava sempre o que de bom tinha os produtos frescos do dia. Recomendo vivamente a estadia neste hotel tem qualidade acima da média.,Quartos lindos bem decorados com cozinha para quem leva bebês é uma mais valia,muito espaço e varanda com optima vista.Alem de todos os serviços serem de qualidade ainda se destaca o transfer gratuito do hotel para o Funchal gratuitamente fazendo a reserva antecipada na receção.Motorista do autocarro”Filipe' muito profissional com boas dicas para vusitar o que de melhor a Madeira têm. Obrigado a todo o staff de todos os setores foi um regresso à Madeira após 20 anos que guardo com estima no coração. Quando decidir mos visitar novamente o Funchal será com certeza a estadia no hotel alto do lido.

Hotel Quinta Da Penha De Franca is within it's own complex and is up the hill from its sister hotel Quinta Penha de Franca Mar. You can use the facilities within Quinta Penha de Franca Mar as well. Both are linked together by means of a private bridge which goes over the road, this is pretty seamless, but you do have to go out the door of the De Franca and buzz back in, but too much of an issue. Quinta Da Penha De Franca is set within gardens and has a heated pool which can be used, complimentary pool towels provided. You can also use the pool at Franca Mar which is unheated, but was still warm enough, and is salt water, from here you also have direct private access to the sea. Rooms are of a good size, I would recommend staying in the main complex rooms. There are around 4 rooms which are around Rooms 40-44 which are separate from the main complex, that can be nice, but note the Irish Bar is just over the wall, so can be a little noisy at times. Rooms were clean, air conditioning good, TV and mini bar, which if you want to indulge was good value. Beds were big, and very comfy which helped for a good nights sleep. Room Service is also available, though oddly no complimentary tea & coffee provided in the room, which I would expect in a four star. The location is excellent, on the edge of the hotel area means a short walk into town, and short walk to other restaurants and bars in the hotel district so a real positive. Parking is also very good, they have a large free to use carpark, so brilliant if you are planning to hire a car to explore the island like we did, we had no issues parking. Breakfast was also very good, a mix of continental, Portuguese and cooked buffet options. Service was friendly and overall a very enjoyable stay was had.

Muy buena ubicación, varios desayunos completos, personal disponible. El punto débil es que solo hay seis lugares donde puedes estacionar, pero muchas veces ya lo tienes. La posibilidad de aparcar en el parking del casino es de hasta 6,30 € durante todo el día. Otro punto débil de la insonorización de la habitación es el sonido de la televisión, puertas en la habitación contigua. Hotel suficiente, piscina agradable, hammam con jacuzzi y gimnasio pequeño para 3/4 días.

Just back from a week at Calheta Beach. Absolutely fabulous hotel. The beds are just so comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. I became unwell and the receptionist had a taxi ordered for me in seconds and within an hour I was sorted. The staff are amazing. It’s so beautiful with stunning views . Breakfast and lunch were very good unfortunately I can’t say the same for dinner I’m not a fish eater and found the meat options limited and the steak skewers were really tough. The chefs own choice night was lovely. Also found the snacks very limited especially if you have children . In saying that I will most definitely return it’s one of the most beautiful places we have visited . Thank you all 😀👍🏻

La puerta de entrada de la habitación es enorme y me siento mucho mejor de inmediato. El balcón expuesto es cómodo y muy conveniente. Es muy conveniente secar la ropa temporalmente. El lavadero limpia la ropa de forma rápida y económica. Puedes disfrutar de palomitas de maíz y limonada. cuando entras. Después de despegar, el bar por la noche es súper entretenido. Puedes relajarte y quedarte dormido escuchando las hermosas canciones. El personal de servicio es muy atento. El estacionamiento en la isla es inconveniente. Hay un servicio de estacionamiento en el hotel que No tienes de qué preocuparte, pero cuesta 20 euros al día.
