Puerto de Pollensa cat Villas

A villa with a excellent pool and location, badly let down by under-investment and poor maintenance. It seems an ongoing issue with the villa, with reviews from this summer we have seen on other sites. We suffered all sorts of issues with plumbing (toilets which wouldn't flush, water which ran brown, blocked sinks) and electrics (faulty aircon, fire alarm beeping continually) meaning a series of visits from maintenance teams were needed. I would avoid this villa with plenty of better options for the same price or cheaper.

The plumbing badly let down the villa. Arrived to blocked sink in downstairs onsuite and shower that leaked so bad the hall was flooded. Contacted VP who sent maintenance. Told shower over 20 years old, dont use, sink unblocked, then toilet would not flush for rest of holiday. Also the map to get there was terrible. Without satnav it could take hours to find!

Mosquito infested cannot sunbathe swim or sit on verandah without getting bit. my husband had 27 bites after first 3 days of going in the pool and sunbathing. I on the first day received 3 large bites to right leg which filled with fluid,to the size of a golf ball, then they all joined together making a 12inch massive red blob, 3 inches across. Luckily i took anti biotics with me, got them down me and they began to recede after a further 3 days. We were bit day and night and for the last 10days i could not sunbathe or swim and we both had to wear socks long pants and jackets with hoods to sit for an hour or so in the evening on the verandah and play cards. After an hour there are so many, we had to go in. Paid all that money to sit inside a house. T.V. had no sky for 4 days, owner fixed it, and fan broke but owner bought new one. Tui 24/7 didnt work, we text their number and still waiting for a reply. The villa is beautiful but its sewerage soak away needs looking at, its a breeding ground for mosquitos. Sewerage tank too near house, when we turned cold shower on in double bedroom the stink came up from the plug hole. The double bedroom stunk of urine when we went in and it did all the holiday despite fan. Stinky and a complete waste of money. We have been to villas only 2 miles away from this one, 5 times,for over 10yr period with Tui and b4 first choice and no problems at all with mossys, even in july and august and september. Add to that the mayhem of the airport, the cramming in of 300 passengers on the plane and delay going and return, and the car hire giving us the biggest car you can imagine, when we asked for a small one, we were given a slightly smaller one, gas guzzler which the petrol gauge didnt work and the dash was in german. When we got back we were told it would be taken from our deposit. Even though we filled up supposedly day before. No thanks, never again, goodbye Tui, goodbye majorca, will stay at home next time in 30 degrees of sunshine and get a pool in our garden, SAVING OVER £4,000 DONT GO TO THIS VILLA.

We stayed at the villa roina , puerto pollensa two weeks ago & was a fantastic holiday, the villa is brilliant for families, especially young children too, has everything you need , spacious, clean , fabulous location,close to beach, supermarket, bars & restaurants. It’s very tranquil, we loved the barbecue & table tennis & billiards tables were an extra included. Only a couple of things , the directions to the main entrance should be clearer as you are taken to the back entrance, making a little confusing to find the keys & could do with extra keys or gate opening from inside the villa when with other family members, not really too much of a problem though. Also fixing the downstairs loo so it does not wobble ! All in all though a great find , would love to return to.
