We liked the fact that it was not on the main street but close enough to be walkable in 15mins. Quite a steep hill to walk but okay for us. A very good breakfast selection in comfortable environment. Nice cosy areas in the hotel to sit and have quiet drink.

This hotel is sooo elegant. I felt very spoilted during my stay. I had a single room overlooking the front of the hotel with its surrounding gardens and red squirrels in the trees. Plenty of safe parking and within walking distance of The town . The food was good and the staff so friendly and helpful. Talking to some of the other visitors I found that many of them were on their 4th and 5 th visit. That says it all . I’ll be back.

A great property, annex room was very spacious and comfortable. A beautiful and warm country manor feel. Staff generally friendly and somewhat helpful. We would stay there again.

The property needs a serious update and deep cleaning. We traveled on August and during our stay the only music that was playing was Christmas music.
The room needed
cleaning, there were huge spiderwebs in the washroom. The walking closet had a foul smell. The door wasn't closing properly unless we slammed it hard. The breakfast buffet had a normal selection. We were assigned specific table we arrived for breakfast but some of the dishes on the table were dirty. The coffee wasn't replenished, and when we asked for more coffee it was served in a French-press with the lid all crooked and ready to result in a huge spill. Quiet place, but it's definitely needs some upgrades.

Had room 11 in the annexe, lovely suite with an attached single room if needed and a walk in wardrobe, clean and nice and bright but limited views.
Great dinner matched with excellent service.. thank you for making our anniversary night away that more special !
