Hotel Bishops Arms Pitea

The rooms were surprisingly nice, considering the somewhat gruff exterior of the hotel. It appeared recently renovated with a nice, inviting tone, good beds and a comfortable bathroom. The location was very close to the city centre, and the breakfast was decent, considering the price for staying. The check-in process was not very convenient. We knew that check-in was not until 4 PM, but we were not aware that the reception did not open until 4 PM- meaning that if you arrive early one should keep oneself preoccupied in the city centre etc. beforehand. It was stressful how the staff had to serve both the pub and the hotel, our receptionist was friendly but appeared stressed and we did not feel we could confiscate his time by asking many questions. One question we did ask however was if the hotel had parking in the parking house nearby-he responded that he didn't know. It turned out that the hotel had their designated parking area close to the elevators to the hotel, but as we were not aware we parked in the very opposite direction and had a long walk with much luggage. That was quite unnecessary.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Bishops Arms hotel in central Piteå and had a pleasant stay. We were a little nervous at the check in as you have to check in at the bar in the Bishops Arms pub, but after being given keys we went up to the third floor and we were pleasantly surprised. The third floor consists of a clean and modern corridor and an outdoor terrace with some seating. The rooms are all off of this corridor and they are nicely decorated, clean and have comfortable furniture and beds. Our room had a large window and looked down onto a small square. The window did not open though and an air conditioning unit warmed / cooled the room (not the best and we turned this off for most of the time we were in the room.) Good breakfast was included and served on the mezzanine / upstairs floor of the Bishops Arms pub. A pleasant stay and right in the centre of Piteå town.

Easy and very smooth check-in to the hotel at 4 pm, even though the pub already was crowded. The room itself at the third floor far exceeded our expectations; spacious and tastefully decorated. It provided all you need such as a saftey box, fridge, jug-kettle, tea and coffee, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast contained everything you need and was very tasty.

A bit strange check-in from the barsite. Took a little time before the barkeeper(s) discovered me. Saturday evening and the bar&restaurant full of people. The room ok.

It is really nice hotel. Situated in the city center, but quiet enough. Good breakfasts, probably not a big choice, but actually everything you need and really good food quality. We lived 6 nights there and I was always happy with breakfasts.

Det var en helt vanlig övernattning under affärsresa, schysst med parkering nära hotellet och enkel utcheckning.

Bra rum som var fräscht! Var en smitarnas rund blandaren som var lite ofräsch och kuddarna var ganska slitna då det hade bildats massa ”bollar” av materialet i dom. Var ganska lyhört men som sagt väldigt prisvärt och fräscht för övrigt och frukosten var riktigt bra!

Engelsk talande receptionist som hade vaknat på fel sida. AC på rummet lät väldigt mycket, svårt att sova. Kommer inte bo här någon mer gång.

Mitt i stan, trevlig personal. God mat, vad mera kan man begära.
