Stayed here on business just for one night. Staff extremely friendly and arranged an airport pick up. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and extremely well appointed. I’m 1.95m tall so a large bed is important for me and I had the best night sleep for ages. There is little noise, so it is a hidden gem. I think it only opened in August so everything is new. Highly recommended.

Beautiful old hotel right opposite the Royal Palace. The hotel grounds make you feel like you're surrounded by nature. The rivrr promenade is a 3 minute walk away. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of Western, Asian and local Cambodian food. After arriving quite late, Mealea restaurant was great for dinner. We had a few drinks, a salad and 2 local dishes which came to around $45. Overall, a lovely place to stay and will definitely return.

The Sokha hotel is an amazing place. An enormous hotel but with nothing going on. We arrived at 8pm and were upgraded to a suite. A huge room in a huge hotel but nobody else in the hotel? The venue was very clean, lots of staff all very friendly. The hotel is the wrong side of the river. On the other side it was buzzing with locals and tourists unlike the hotel sokha side which has only locals. Even the tuk-tuk drivers don’t want to go there. Breakfast the following morning was good. We paid less than £100 for this hotel, great value for a 5* hotel but Unfortunately lacking customers and therefor any sort of atmosphere !

The apartments are very well appointed and modern and the staff were all friendly here. We had late arrival and early departure by train so the location of the apartments was perfect for us. It's also close to Raffles for a happy hour drink between 4-9pm. We had a two bedroom apartment that had ensuite bathrooms off each room and a central living area with couch, kitchen and breakfast bar style dining. It was nice to grab some breakfast supplies at the local minimart and have a leisurely breakfast on the couch after so many buffets during our travels. Everything was very clean and the housekeeping replaced water, coffee and intermittently towels each day. There are two sizeable pools and although overlooked there was never anyone around so they were very nice for an afternoon relax out of the heat. We also ate at The Shop which was a bit pricey but I enjoyed my quiche for a light lunch. Besides expensive nearby hotels or market square there aren't any local restaurants etc in close proximity, although if you walk via Wat Phnom to the riverfront I recommend Hummus house. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if arriving or departing by train

One major issue before the noise complaints - beginning in 2021 all hotels are required to register guests with the FPCS system by law or you cannot renew your tourist visa. For most this isn't an issue, but for me since I am here with work for more than a month, I needed to renew my visa. When I asked the hotel if they had done this, they did not know what I was talking about and were rude. I had issues renewing my visa because they blatantly do not follow this policy, which is law in Cambodia now. I've gotten better nights of sleep in party hostels for $5 a night. Very loud, high pitched, piano background music plays in the hallways from 6am until 9pm (at least) every day. It is loud enough to wake you up in your room and did wake me up every day of my stay. And because the music is played into the night, it's also impossible to go to sleep early. When the front desk was asked to turn the music down, they acted sorry and like they would fix the problem and then the next day, the very same problem occurred. Additionally, you can hear anything going on in the rooms next to you. I was woken up from 3-5am with extremely loud sex in the room next door. You don't get to choose your neighbors, but if you get unlucky with inconsiderate ones you won't be able to sleep in the middle of the night and then will be woken up early by the music so don't expect to sleep in. Service was variable - some days the coffee and tea and drinking water in my room were replenished and some days they were not. The gym is also not air conditioned so is very uncomfortable to use.

We are traveling long term so we are on a very tight budget and rely heavily on the places we stay for help on transportation, etc. We booked through Kuch Oudom hotel because of their good ratings on booking.com and we wanted a nice room to get some work done for a few days. The location is not great. It’s a good bit north of the main attractions and walking in the city is not ideal with the lack of side walks and heat. This leaves you with taking a tuk tuk which while cheap, the traffic is bad so it takes a while to get anywhere in the city. The room was fine.. the AC took a while to cool down and never got that cool even when set as low as it could go. ****The above I can get over, but the reason for the negative review.. The day we left, we booked 2 bus tickets to Kampot with the hotel. They told us we were being book on the Mekong express bus, it included pick up and cost $12 USD a piece. We had done research on this company, knew it was a reputable one, the price was in line with what is should cost so we felt good about booking with them. We got picked up at our hotel and ended up being taken to a Vibol bus. This was a much lower class bus, barely any AC, they pack people in like sardines, it’s old and dirty. But the worst part, these tickets should be $6 usd a piece. Kuch Oudom charged us double, selling us on a different bus and then pocketing the difference. I realize we are talking the difference of $12 but we have never been scammed by a hotel before and we feel extremely taken advantage of. I am not one to normally write negative reviews but this kind of dishonest behavior deserves to be shared. I would steer clear of this place. We have been traveling in SE Asia for a few months now and have booked countless buses through our hotels and guest houses and have never had this kind of dishonest service and experience. Even aside from this, I am sure there are better options in Phnom Penh with comparable rooms but a better location and more honest staff.

The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the toilet was clean too. Please bear in mind that this is not a 5 or 4 star hotel. It's good value for money as it was a very short walk from Zing Hotel to Central Market and Cafe Malaya etc. Daytime, we asked the goldsmith shop nearby the hotel, to point us in the direction of the Riverside, and we walked all the way to the Riverside. It was a less than one kilometre leisurely walk for us to reach Riverside. And we got to see Phnom Penh daily life along the way. There's even a convenience store right next door where we bought our instant noodles, hot coffee and chips etc. The reception also has a small kitchen with seating right next to it, serving hot meals. The front office, kitchen and housekeeping staff were cheerful and pleasant with us. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms daily. We used the Grab app to order rickshaws and cars to pick us and drop us back at the hotel doorstep. Cheap using Grab. Do be careful at night though, don't walk around the area at night alone or even with friends. Just use Grab or Pass app to order rickshaws to get around and you'll be fine.

No escribo por lo general ningún comentario, pero para las próximas víctimas, me parece que hay que hacerlo. En el hotel, el hotel es un hotel muy agradable, pero no tengo más opción que permanecer en este hotel debido a la exigencia de cuarentena del gobierno al entrar en el país. Además de hacerme pagar más por ningún motivo, pero para engañarme (i,e no me dijeron deliberadamente que me echara a tiempo a las 12:00, aunque me permitiera salir antes de eso, El hotel está en una zona de gran calidad, donde se encuentran los mejores lugares de interés para los turistas. No había pedido una interrupción diaria, pero el resultado fue ”interrupciones” diariamente. Así que mi calidad de dormir fue terrible. La plancha de cama era picante, el lavabo era extremadamente grosero, la habitación era pequeña, la remota AC no funciona, El hotel está en una zona de la ciudad, donde se encuentra el centro de la ciudad. Si tienes el dinero que gastar, esta debería ser la última opción cuando no hay más hoteles disponibles en toda la ciudad. No volveré incluso si me pidió quedarme gratis. Incrediblemente horrible, por favor evite!

Parece que la reserva no fue correcta, pero estaba preparando la habitación correctamente. Cuando entré en la habitación y traté de abrir la maleta, la cerradura de la maleta no se abrió, no pude hacer nada, así que fui al hall para buscar ayuda. Gracias por su ayuda 👴🪛 Incluso si no sé cómo bloquear la habitación, vino a la habitación y me dijo. Muchas gracias. La ubicación es buena, limpia y segura para visitar.Muchos buenos restaurantes cerca, aunque principalmente camboyana ... El personal es amable y amable. Tengo sólo una queja, cuando estaba sentado a comer café en la parte inferior, el personal no estaba ocupado, sólo llamaron al teléfono hasta que llamé, entonces vinieron a preguntarme si quiero pedir hahaha ..... El desayuno es bueno porque me gusta el bufete, solo para el chef cuando hacen sopa de nodles no hay ningún estándar de comida y la preparación no es apropiada para el chef pero puede enseñarle a explicar la preparación y sorprendente lo que es definitivamente un hotel que hay tantas personas de negocios y tantas La habitación es muy agradable, pero no es muy agradable. La decoración era agradable pero el limpieza no era tan agradable y el personal estaba molesto pero este es un hotel que entiendo que hablé con el gerente y me corrigió Gracias Virak Thit.
