I can’t say enough good things about my stay at this incredible homestay on Dongshan Island—it’s hands down one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I’m already counting down the days until I can come back. From the breathtaking sea views to the thoughtful, attentive service, every single detail made my trip unforgettable, and I’m so glad I chose this homestay for my island getaway. First and foremost, the seaview here is absolutely stunning, beyond anything I could have imagined. The homestay boasts an unbeatable location with unobstructed views of the endless blue sea, and I spent every spare moment just admiring the ocean, both morning and night. Waking up early to watch the soft golden sunrise glisten over the water, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, was the most peaceful way to start each day. As the sun set, the sky painted itself in warm hues of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic and serene scene that took my breath away. Even at night, the quiet glow of the moon on the water and the soft sound of waves made the view just as magical. I took countless beautiful photos during my stay, and every snapshot perfectly captures the mesmerizing beauty of this place—no filter could ever do the real scenery justice. What surprised me most is that the homestay is even more beautiful in person than the online photos. When I booked the room online, the pictures looked lovely, but I didn’t expect the actual space to exceed my expectations by such a large margin. The interior is cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with large windows that frame the sea like a living painting. Every corner of the homestay is well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The layout is designed to maximize the seaview, so no matter where you are—whether it’s the bedroom, the living area, or the small terrace—you can always feast your eyes on the gorgeous ocean scenery. It’s clear that the host put a lot of love and care into creating this wonderful space. The service here is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The host and all the staff are friendly, warm, and always ready to help with any needs or questions I had. They were quick to respond to messages, offered useful tips for exploring Dongshan Island, and went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their genuine hospitality made me feel valued and cared for throughout my trip. Unlike many other accommodations where service feels impersonal, this homestay’s service is heartfelt and dedicated, adding an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience. I’ve traveled to many coastal destinations, but this homestay on Dongshan Island stands out as a true gem. 五星好評！離海很近出行方便，出門是彩蝶灣，旁邊就是馬鑾灣和金巒灣，方便看海和撿貝殼！要求上樓換拖鞋，且衞浴乾濕分離，看得出對衞生方面很重視。公區超大，店裡擺放了不少樂器，經常能碰到吉他大佬彈唱，氛圍感直接拉滿。還和店裡的朋友一起玩遊戲了，非常開心🥳老闆人超好，待人真誠且很有趣。外面還有桌椅可以坐着聽歌唱歌，還有個鹹魚的指示牌架子很有意思哈哈哈🤣一樓提供免費洗衣服，而且有專門晾衣服的地方。另外還有一衹小貓兩衹小狗，温馨治癒，住宿體驗超棒！

Ella compartió parte de su naranja conmigo y cuando le dije que me gustaba, se fue y me dio una para mí. La casa de huéspedes está situada en la parte superior de una pequeña colina y la señora jefa recogerá a los huéspedes en la parte inferior de la colina; de hecho, en mi opinión, apenas necesita, ya que es sólo 10 minutos o menos a pie una caminata suave, pero ella hace la recolección como parte del servicio que Ellos ofrecen. La habitación es muy agradable y limpia. El baño es de estilo occidental y tiene un toque muy agradable - las luces de punto están instaladas en el techo de la toalla y cuando las noches son frías, realmente apreciará el calor de estas luces después de salir de la ducha! Y por último, llevarán a los huéspedes a 2 de los mejores puntos de vista para el cluster Tianluokeng sin cargos adicionales.

A peaceful place to chill and relax. Very pretty, clean, modern interior and nice smelling room. Fruits, drinks and yoghurt are complimentary in every room. Within the room, it is spacious! They even offer us washing machine (equipped with detergent) in every room so we may wash our laundry. Exterior has been nicely designed too. Love the deco around the common area like the reading corner, tea table. Breakfast is quite good though it’s the same for both days we were there. Manager nicely upgraded one of our room as it was off peak season. Found out they have another branch in Yun Shi Yao. Perhaps can consider staying there and this for 2 different nights to experience different locations with hopefully similar level of standards.

The hotel is located at the top of the mountain, it's perfectly nice location. The service staff’s attitude is truly amazing and helpful especially the front desk who is very accommodating to our requests, restaurant staffs were very attentive and friendly, great food, not so expensive and the room is very clean, nice & tidy. There is also a park area in front of the hotel. This place is overlooking Zhangzhou and the other side is Xiamen. During the night time, we stayed at the terrace, drink some wine while staring at the beautiful view. Unfortunately, we’ve missed the sunset as it’s too late when we come back to the hotel. We also wake up very early and watch the beautiful sunrise in the morning at the back of the hotel. Also, there are free drinks available in the room and we got sweet soup and fresh fruits available after we come back from our tour. This is a good place to stay, far away from hustle and bustle of the city. It's 4 km to the famous Ten Miles Blue Mountain and it’s overlooking from the hotel. The hotel even sent us to this place by their service van and offered to pick us up back to the hotel which is well appreciated. After we check out, we thought it's easy to get a Didi but ended the hotel offered their service van again to bring us down the mountain to get Didi easily. It’s better to have your own car for your own convenience travelling around this area. We can’t say enough good things about moonlight resort and will surely give them two thumbs up for their amazing service, it was all so great stay! Definitely this hotel is highly recommended, we booked 2 rooms Elegant & Privilege Queen Room it's worth the trip. We hope to come back again next time.

This is a new hotel. It is about 20 minutes walk to the Zhangzhou Ancient City. The room is clean and it has a AI Genei Xiaodu that is able to give some info in weather and time, you can ask for the songs you want to to listen to. Breakfast is quite good for a price of Rmb15 each. You can order ru mian, which is famous in Zhangzhou, besides latte coffee, bread and Chinese rice and vege.

乾淨的民宿，裝修很小清新，我們訂的是一樓的大床房，價格實惠，入住體驗好。晚餐是老闆親自下廚，量大新鮮，味道不錯。老闆的父親一直前後忙來忙去，給我們泡茶，提供許多有用的遊覽訊息。是一次很好的住宿經歷。

Generally clean room and sheets. I think the sheets were also proper cotton, which seems rare as most are using at least a polyester blend, so extra points here for not having that! Service was friendly. They helped with luggage and said hello and had the occasional suggestion when asked—though seemed more tourist-focused (we wanted really good food, and yes that actually meant where do the locals go that’s super tasty, not luxurious). The rest, it’s really quite run down and a lot of the furniture etc is a bit cheap, with laminate coming off, stains on wood etc (the photos on here are definitely shopped/AId). Then the walls were dirty and ours had a random panel of plywood painted in another colour covering god knows what. There also seem to be permanent states of repair or disorder across the hotel. The communal area was dead and what May have been an attempt at a caf seemed more like storage. The views from the rooftop were lovely though, and the location, though on a busy street, puts you right in the old town. Not intimate or quiet if that is what you prefer. But easy access and lots of food and cafe options at your door. Must note that the drum shop across the road had its sound travel right into our room. And though the first night they stopped around 11pm, the second night there was a sudden burst at 1:30am that was not massively appreciated…

We stayed in Floral Luxury.1949 Guesthouse for 1 night. We booked Mufan room located on the ground floor as i am travelling with my elderly mom and carrying heavy luggage bags. The guesthouse butler will contact you the night before your arrival to add them to Wechat for easy communication. They will share their hotel location and offer pick-up service at the train station if required. Access to Yunshuiyao town is RMB90 perpax and free for those aged above 65 years old. Yunshuiyao is a scenic town area with 3 km long (2 - 3 hours walk). We hired a chinese speaking guide to accompany us to explain the history of Huaiyan building (square tulou), Hegui building (round tulou), and the town area. It cost RMB100. The guesthouse is located inside Yunshuiyao town, behind the shop houses, in-between waterwheel and 2 trees (named as husband and wife) aged above 670 years old. When we reached there at 2.30 pm, it was raining. The hotel staff immediately came out with an umbrella to pick us up and assist with the luggage. The check-in is fast, and the access to the room is by password, which they will share in Wechat. Checkout is also very easy. The hotel offered free fruits twice a day, afternoon and evening. The basic bathroom essentials are complete, and they also provide bathrobes. The bed and pillows are very comfortable for a good night sleep. Luckily the aircond can change to warm mode as it was very cold on raining day. There's a mini kids playground for children's. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set come with porridge and soya drink. Can topup if needed more. The in-house restaurant provides lunch & dinner with a la carte chinese foods menu. The sky brightens at 5 am, while the sun rises high at 6.45am. If you are able to wake up early, this is the best time for you to revisit the town and tulou surrounding area for nice photos and cool breeze as only local people around. There's a roadside stall selling super long youtiao (equal to size of 2 youtiao) located near the stone bridge not far from guesthouse. The whole Yunshuiyao town is covered with natural peebles pathway. Wear suitable shoes as it will be very slippery during the rainy day.
