We have just returned to the UK from a once in a lifetime trip to South Africa of which the highlight was without doubt Buffelsdrift Game Lodge, we had the most amazing time. The lodges are stunning and you could be in a first class hotel with all the little personal touches and the outside showers ‘quirky’ but really made you feel like you were on safari only with luxury. We could even watch the Hippos from our lodge and when we awoke early the giraffes were less than 50m from us. The game drives were brilliant, night and morning saw so many different animals and birds and the early morning drive was spectacular. The driver guides were all first class and really knew their stuff, clearly passionate about their jobs and passing on their extensive knowledge. We even met the 3 baby orphaned elephants that have been raised at Buffelsdrift and they 100% trust humans now.(how amazing) Couldn’t do this review without also mentioning the lovely food and serving staff. In conclusion if we were ever lucky enough to return to South Africa Buffelsdrift Game Lodge would be at the top of our list to visit again.

This is the second time we stayed over at De Denne Guest House - and again, it was just a pleasure! The pool and lawn were a welcome resting place in the heat and the long drive. As always, the staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful where ever they can be. Dinner was a wonderful experience, especially the ostrich meat. The rooms were so inviting, huge and filled with great detail. We had the lights on during loadshedding and the wi-fi was great whilst we were there. Perhaps just one suggestion for the hot months - ceiling fans in the bedrooms, as the airflow into the rooms are not so great and keeping the air-con on during the night is not ideal. The breakfast was tasty and everything you may need and it already says a lot that this was our second stay here and we will most certainly come back any day again! Keep it up and well done!

En los primeros días del 2019 KKNK, necesitamos un lugar familiar para permanecer en el. Encontramos este lugar a través de Internet y esto parecía el lugar más adecuado para vivir en esos pocos días. A la llegada a la noche, nos convencimos de que hicimos una gran elección. Sharonay es la dama con la que hemos estado en contacto desde que llegamos hasta el día que nos fuimos. Hay muchos lugares donde la gente dice que puede llamarlos en cualquier momento y que serán de ayuda. Aquí en Homestay no es sólo conversación - realmente lo hacen. Regresaría a este lugar cuando regrese a Oudthorn.

El precio de Trip.com es más barato que el de la red oficial del hotel O vivir en un hotel de marcas, mejor que b&b folklore El entorno del hotel es muy bueno, el check in es muy entusiasta. El cuarto que reservamos tiene una pequeña cocina, todos los platos. Intente no elegir en el hotel. El servidor es muy lento. Vamos a la sala a las 7:30 pm. La habitación de la familia es una habitación muy decorada y espacial. ¡Atención a los detalles es increíble- pequeños flores colocadas en todas partes- incluso en el rollo de la toalla! Situado en la mitad de las cuevas de Kango y de Oudthorn, a 15 minutos en coche a los restaurantes de Oudthorn. (No recomiendamos el restaurante cercano Mill hacia Kango) Lo que recomiendamos es el Braai (barbacoa) que el huésped pone en la mayoría de las noches. La carne local hermosa - la ostras y la hortalizas de la casa y el pudding de tarta de leche de Sudáfrica, muy recomendado y sin duda volveremos.

We have just returned to the UK from a once in a lifetime trip to South Africa of which the highlight was without doubt Buffelsdrift Game Lodge, we had the most amazing time. The lodges are stunning and you could be in a first class hotel with all the little personal touches and the outside showers ‘quirky’ but really made you feel like you were on safari only with luxury. We could even watch the Hippos from our lodge and when we awoke early the giraffes were less than 50m from us. The game drives were brilliant, night and morning saw so many different animals and birds and the early morning drive was spectacular. The driver guides were all first class and really knew their stuff, clearly passionate about their jobs and passing on their extensive knowledge. We even met the 3 baby orphaned elephants that have been raised at Buffelsdrift and they 100% trust humans now.(how amazing) Couldn’t do this review without also mentioning the lovely food and serving staff. In conclusion if we were ever lucky enough to return to South Africa Buffelsdrift Game Lodge would be at the top of our list to visit again.
