Alouette Beach Resort

This is clearly an older property that has been propped up over the decades. By propped up, I mean only updated as absolutely needed. It’s very New England “beachy”. Good: The location is right next to the beach, shops, and everything else that the touristy part of Old Orchard Beach has to offer. The on-site restaurant is open from 7 AM to 10 AM for breakfast only. Check in was handled by a couple of very nice, patient ladies. Not good: The balcony felt old and problematic. The old carpeting on the balcony is truly disgusting. Old beer tops on the balcony railing, no table on the balcony, what looks like construction detritus in a corner inside the room (cut electrical cord from the air conditioner install?), an amazing amount of plugs packed into a power *****, but you have to bring your own power ***** because you won’t have enough plugs for your devices. There wasn’t a good plug for the coffee maker! And no microwave at all. There WAS a refrigerator. Because the units face each other, I could hear some screeching drunk, middle-aged people right across the small parking lot alll evening. Noise echoes all over the buildings in the confined space. As nice as check-in was, at checkout I literally tripped over the owner’s dogs as I was coming in the door and almost fell. They’re cute doggies, but don’t belong in the hotel lobby. Overall, OK if you are looking for just the location.

Easy fast check-in. Friendly staff. Right on the beach. Very short walk to pier and all the shops & restaurants.

Bed extremely old and un- comfortable Sheets were clean mattress and box springs very old and not clean. Bed frame and box spring exterior was dirty. In today's world of bed bugs it was very bad experience after paying for 5 days and not able to get a refund on this website so sprayed everything and sanitized room my self. No one does bed making trash removal or towels unless you ask. Bath sink clogged and shower has a tiny sprayer I'd spray flowers outside. Not a shower head! Pretty tile job but unfinished tiny shower you had to climb around toilet to get into. Bathroom was clean and towels clean so did give a 2 rating Bedroom had a wall AC I am 5'3 and its up so high you need a chair to stand on. The Balcony had missing soffits and nesting birds that would fly into your space going in and out the door so you could not really sit out and enjoy the view. The paint is peeling off all railings and steps and pool was being filled with cold water upon arrival. Pool is concrete and hand painted blue inside it with no liner. Unable to use it anyway because they had not installed the heater yet. Nice staff, poor maintenance of a very very old structure called the Allouette lol Upon arrival said I was booked at their sister property called the wind song. Very old house in need of many repairs with a nice TV dresser and newer bar stools and bar table for 2. new mini fridge. it worked but would stay at a better hotel for less money off Beach next time over charged for sure. no

The room at the wind song was excellent! Just a few steps from the beach and an easy half mile or so to the pier. The front desk was so welcoming and helpful, we will definitely be back!

Fabulous ocean view from the bed! Great balcony for soaking in the sound of the waves and watching the beach!

Nice spot for an ocean view! Room was ok , clean enough but upkeep over the years appears minimal. But then again people come for the ocean and rides so….

The staff was awesome. Great location they upgraded our room to an ocean view with a small seating area balcony.

Just taking a vacation in our own town/ because sometimes time nice to get a way and wake up next to the ocean. We work up and took our coffee for a walk on the beach.

Closer to the pier than originally though! The lady at check -in is amazing. Rooms are clean and beautiful. The beach is so easy to access. Definitely recommend!
