"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Ruapehu Country Lodge! It was one of our favorite places to stay during our 3-week trip to New Zealand. The property is beautiful, inside and out. We stayed in the Ngauruhoe room, which had a lovely view of the garden. Hosts Bernie and Marie were very welcoming and accommodating. They served a delicious breakfast (complete with Marie's homemade rhubarb preserves). We enjoyed the family-style breakfast because it gave us the opportunity to spend time with other guests from all over the world. The location of the B & B was perfect for day trips to Tongarriro National Park. Bernie was very helpful in recommending sites to see and scenic drives that were lesser known."
