The resort has super friendly staff and had a very relaxing setting overall, 3 things stood out that had to be mentioned - firstly, the overpriced add-ons (like 1 hour of tennis costing 30 sgd, and pool table is 10-20 sgd per hour was really unexpected), secondly - too many of the "complimentary" amenities were unavailable and under maintanence such as foosball table / darts and the gym, thirdly - room had malfunctions like toilet socket was not working for the hair dryer, aircon-remote not working. On point 1 - resort needs to call-out accurately what services are add-ons (tennis court was not called out as an add-on) so that consumers can be fairly informed when shopping for their stay, On point 2 and 3 - having too many basic/complimentary things unavailable / not working at first touch (as mentioned in point 2 and 3) is just not great look for a 5-star calibre kind of resort.

Great service the place is wonderful. Staffs are very polite and try to meet our needs.

Impeccable service by the staffs. They were helpful in assisting with our needs. Great place facing the sea, the sunset is a must-catch! There are total 4 restaurants in the resort, however vegetarians are limited to just Tadd’s restaurant - where dishes such as Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng are customisable to cater to such dietary preferences. For breakfast there are fruits, bread, sweet potato, roti prata, omelette station and much more variety. Price is on the higher end if you are dining here for lunch and dinner.

Waited for 3 hours in a hot and stuffy room before changing to another one due to the air con not delivering what it meant to do in the first place. Overall experience was greatly pulled down just by this 3 hours wait upon arrival to the room. Not sure how this basic function of the room (ie. Air Con) can be badly missed by the resort management. Also to mention, the room wasn't cold even with two air con units during late afternoon. But luckily this was the only one downside to the stay, the rest of the activities and staff etc, were all great.

A lovely resort for couples, families and groups. We always choose Montigo Resort everytime we visit Batam. Excellent service and pleasant stay

Upon arrival front desk gave confusing info about our booking. Told us to top up more if we wanted to be near each other when we had already overbooked & paid premium prices. Realised mistake only when we got keys to villa. Made front desk reverse the top-up charge as our villas could accommodate 10pax when there were only 6 of us. Request to cancel 1 villa was rejected. Postponement of 1 villa for a later date was thankfully approved. Trip.com was difficult but hotel was accommodating. Facilities looked worn & problematic. Water from tap in master bedrm was yellowish. Pool pump not working well so water looked a little murky. Underwater pool lamp was intermittent. One even fell out. Dangerous yet not fixed. TV remote not working, had to get staff to check & replace batteries. Aircon made noises when louvres moved. Toiletries were of low quality, couldn’t even compare with 3-star hotels. Food pricing exorbitant. A warung meal cost 2 million for 6 pax. To get private hire to drive us out for seafood would cost us only 50% of that. But that meant time wasted & less time for chillax. Breakfast had wide variety but tea & coffee were limited to 2 choices from dispensers like seminar style. Other options were chargeable. Bread & pastries were not exactly fresh. Only consolation for trip was the nice sea view plus very friendly & helpful staff, especially the buggy drivers. Technician even helped fix loose screw on my mom’s wheelchair. That made the stay more pleasant. Kudos to the staff! As a 5-star resort, we felt standards were short. Hope things improve when we next visit as we truly like the relaxing environment away from the crowd.

Its a nice resort, friendly staff and quite a bit of activities especially for kids. Villa was huge, but the space on the 3rd floor was a little wasted since there was nothing up there and there's only 1 television in the entire villa, in the living room on the ground floor. Would have been nice to have a bit of utensils and glasses. All room service and communications with the hotel throughout the stay is via Whatsapp, which was easy and efficient. Overall, its not a bad place to chill for a weekend.

The resort had an amazing view. The staff would be the reason why I come back tho. They were meticulous and so friendly. I unfortunately fell sick on my first day in the middle of the night the staff drove my husband out to get medicine even though he was off shift already. Afterwards they kept following up on my status as well as delivering in room service to us during breakfast as we were resting and missed the timing for breakfast. They also offered us a complimentary late check out till 3pm as our ferry back was at 4pm. Despite my sickness this was an amazing trip for me! Would love to come back again.
