Agriturismo Tenuta la Romana

Everything is fine with Tenuta la Romana. Very friendly staff, very good breakfast, parking, location in the middle of the vineyards, fine (separate) restaurant beside etc. Only one point is a disaster: the wool blanket on the bed. It’s scratchy, ugly and impractical. Ok for one night, but after five nights you don't have patience anymore. I ask for your understanding that I am writing this comment here, but it is supposed to be a warning to all the guests who find this old-fashioned type of duvet terrible. Nevertheless the hotel is recommended due to all the good things.

When we arrived at the Tenuta on a very hot July night we might have been greeted in a friendly way and offered a choice of table. *We might have chosen from a fine selection of antipasti and after waiting for over 40 minutes had the pleasure of all 4 of us (Italians and English friends) eating these at the same time. *We might then have chosen from some excellent Primi and Secondi, and after a further delay of almost an hour, had these arrive at the table at the same time, so that again we could eat together. *We might have experienced any of these things, we have before, at this stylish and ambitious restaurant/ agriturismo. Sadly, we didn't. And the reason I'm writing this negative review about what is often a really great place (as others handsomely testify here) is because even after waiting for nearly 2 hours altogether, when our main courses finally came they weren't even what we had ordered. A plate of gnocchi and vongole and a completely different order of homemade pasta al scoglio had somehow morphed into gnocchi al scoglio for both of us. And to make things slightly ludicrous the chef had plated these differently, as if to distract from his mistake. We all make mistakes. We are truly reasonable people. But after this long wait, and the increasing awkwardness of the hit and miss deliveries of the food, all we could do was eat our hybrid gnocchi dishes, finish and leave. Basta. As he paid the bill, the singularly graceless manager asked my husband what he thought of the food. He tried to tell her that timing had been off, he didn't even get to the hybrid gnocchi. And instead of listening to his not unreasonable response she immediately became cross and aggressive, and told him 'It's a very hot night, it's very difficult for the chef, it's not his fault'. If not his, whose?! This might have been just as lovely an evening as we've had there before but it wasn't. It was awkward and too long and not what we had ordered. I'm sure it will be better another time, I'm just not sure it will be us making the experiment. And thank you to the sweet waitress, who really did try to make it all right on the night.

Grateful for having had the pleasure to participate in a business meeting at this agriturismo. It is off the main street, very quiet and nice views. Three reasons that made it an excellent stay: - the staff - the food - the place (first of all, the spacious room and bathroom) A big thank you to the Tenuta and its staff.

Nice hotel with spacious, quiet, clean rooms, good breakfast in nice ambience (especially when sitting outside), very nice staff and nice pool area. Quiet location. Restaurant on site. Easy parking possibilities.

Nel bel mezzo delle colline del Monferrato C’è un agriturismo tutto ben ristrutturato È un caseggiato che risale a qualche secolo passato Ma si può vedere che tutto è ben sistemato ed arredato. Come si arriva tra queste colline Si respira aria di pace e di serenità senza fine. Entrando nella struttura si ritorna nel passato E immediatamente si ha la sensazione del tempo che si è fermato. La reception è un bel salone che sembra una sala dei cavalieri Proprio come in un castello dove si radunavano re regina e alfieri Il personale sempre a disposizione gentile e cortese Accoglie i turisti che giungono a visitare le colline del piemontese Mostra le camere comode ben arredate E i clienti rimangono lieti Nel ammirare dal balcone un panorama Colmo di vigneti. E per resistere al caldo a disposizione del turista C’e’ una bellissima piscina in mezzo al verde che rinfresca già solo la vista. E nel ristorante che sta accanto si può cenare ammirando le colline Gustando ogni piatto che sia salame o pesce o carne o agnolotti o linguine…. Ma prima della cena per creare un’atmosfera Un pianista improvvisa delle melodie Rilassanti visto che viene sera… E purtroppo arriva il giorno in cui la Romana si deve salutare Ma con una gran voglia di presto…. Ritornare!!!!

Prima di scrivere questa recensione ho aspettato l'occasione per confrontarlo con altri alberghi di stessa categoria in altre regioni. La posizione non è male anche se devi attraversare una zona industriale per raggiungerlo ma questa non è tutta colpa loro. Lo spazio interno non manca ma purtroppo gioca a sfavore perché o è assolutamente vuoto o sono stati utilizzati pezzi di squallida chincaglieria per arredarlo. Imbiancature di colori banali, impersonali ed imbarazzanti. Orribili le illuminazioni che rovinano ulteriormente gli arredi. Colazione con prodotti di bassa qualità, tavolo a buffet caricato solo quando i prodotti erano finiti e con discreta lentezza. Il frenetico turismo enologico della zona ha permesso di trasformare in albergatori anche chi non lo sa fare.

Bell’agriturismo, ben tenuto con camere confortevoli e ben curate. Posizione comoda per chi desidera immergersi nelle Langhe. La colazione va rivista … è l’ultima cosa che l’ospite ricorda è quella attuale diciamo che non fa uscire soddisfatti come invece il luogo meriterebbe. Lavorateci

Wir haben uns kurzfristig entschieden, einige Tage hier zu verbringen. Gebucht haben wir telefonisch für dreimal Nächte. Das Zimmer war einwandfrei und die ganze Anlage gefiel. Besonders positiv: die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Aufgrund eines Autounfalls mussten wir leider früher abreisen. Obwohl wir den gesamten Aufenthalt bezahlen wollten, stornierte das Hotel die Nächte kostenlos. Vielen Dank!
