Pension Sofi

This is an excellent family run hotel. The suites are generous in size and very comfortable. We stayed in one of the ground floor rooms which was naturally cool and didn't actually need the use of air-conditioning. It came with a nice outside eating area under a magnificent flowering Bougainvillea tree. Rena and her family were ever so kind and attentive. As hosts they were unparalleled. We had a free pick up and drop off at the airport. The former was even more exceptional as they had to break off from an important family party to pick us up from a delayed flight. We also received a complementary breakfast with wonderful homemade pastries which varied every day. Certainly they contributed to a wonderful stay.

Our stay at Pension Sofi was well above our expectations which is high. The owners are a family of 45 years ownership who are caring and helpful. The rooms are beautifully Decorated, clean and the location convenient and walkable to the town, restaurants and dock. The breakfast was amazing and filling (usually with a homemade sweet of some kind). We were picked up and dropped off at the boat dock. Renting a car was easy peazy as they have them at a reasonable price, too! My husband was ill and the owner Rena walked with me to the store to get supplies. We were even given a small gift when we left. I can’t recommend this pension more.

My family visited Naxos in May 2024 and we stayed at Pension Sofi. My wife and I stayed at Pension Sofi in 2006 and we had an amazing experience. When visiting Naxos this time with our son, we are so happy to stay at Pension Sofi again and meeting the same family we met 18 years ago. Rena, Theodoro and Sophie (and Rena's father and son) are perfect hosts. They are super friendly and helpful. We really like the home-made cakes they prepared every morning, it is very delicious! Rena was very kind to help us to arrange two rooms on the same floor and it is convenient for us. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. Our room has a balcony with a view of the castle and it is a such a great experience having breakfast at the balcony. They also provide car rental service. Rena helped us to arrange a bigger car that fits 4 adults and one child. The car was new and clean and Rena's son was very patiently explaining the car functions. There is a parking lot across the hotel and often time it is easy to find a parking spot there. We highly recommend Pension Sofi and we want to stay at this beautiful family hotel if we visit Naxos again in the future.

From pick up at port by owner Theodoro to bag drop at port - everything was brilliant. Rena and family were perfect hosts, pick up at port, excellent greeting with drinks at reception and amazing healthy breakfasts. The pension is great, lovely clean rooms and shower etc - definitely and thoroughly recommend Penaion Sofi - thank you guys !!

Rena, Theodoro and Sophie were just the most perfect hosts. We were picked up from the port by the super friendly Theodoro who helped with the bags and explained how to get about town. At the pension we were met by Rena who greeted us with the most delightful local lemonade before showing us to our rooms. Our room was very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and airy. We had both a ceiling fan and an air conditioner in the bedroom, with a small basic kitchen area, opening onto a small balcony. A gorgeous local breakfast is provided by the hosts in reception which we ate on our balcony. If you want a small, friendly and peaceful place to stay in Naxos within a short walk of the port and local eateries then I would highly recommend Pension Sofie.
