Sonder Dovetail

What a disappointment!!!! So many things. First of all Sonder moved us shortly before our stay from The Score (which we’ve stayed at before and loved) to the Dovetail. They said they gave us a larger unit, but it wasn’t much different. We had booked for 4 guests. There was a bed and a sofa bed, ok… however there was a note on the sofa that said the bed was broken and to use an air mattress. We’re 64 year old women and not happy to be sleeping on an air mattress! There were only 2 comforters and no blankets. There were enough towels, but only 2 washcloths, which I wasn’t aware of until I went to wash my face the next morning and didn’t have one! I called and asked for blankets and washcloths. They sent us towels and sheets….. not what I asked for! On top of that, when the compressor of the refrigerator kicked in, it sounded like it was from the construction going on outside! Next, when I laid down and looked up at the ceiling, the

Wi-if spotty and supplies never restocked. Took 2 days for every request. chat feature for issues obviously outsourced out of the country. supplies like coffee and towels etc - never found after day 2 of our 6 day stay. Communication poor, you ask for towels and only get bath towels. You ask again just for hand towels and wash clothes you get bath towels again. The remote was missing batteries- you name it a frustrating place to stay. You can’t have 2 requests because they can only handle one at a time.

The studio apartment was clean and very comfortable. There was a slight noise from construction going on but that is to be expected in a city like Nashville and the windows were thick enough to block out most of the noise. There was an issue with the cold air (not turning off) but this was sorted out by the Chat app very quickly. We didn’t notice a heater was in the apartment, stored in a cupboard until the day we left! So for the 3 days that the temperature dropped we could have had heat. Never mind. It didn’t really deter us from having a great time and I would recommend this apartment for those wanting to stay close to Downtown as it’s a very short walk. Coffee shops around this area are also pretty good so you can grab a cuppa on your way to the sights of broadway or the bridge walks. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of spare items available to grab if needed such as toiletries, towels and coffee. All in all this was a hassle free holiday.

OBSESSED with Sonder. Super easy to check in/out and adjust times if needed, staff are friendly and super quick to respond, just overall a great experience. Love that there are multiple all over the world! I stayed in Nashville last month and literally came back the following month and stayed with them again. Awesome!

Great place to stay. Easy walk to downtown Broadway and restaurants. The only thing I could say negative is they need to have more towels to restock rooms available. Other than that the place was clean and perfect for 2 couples. We would definitely stay again!

Positives - Easy walking distance to downtown and conference center - Full kitchen, washer/dryer unit and lots of storage space. Basic kitchen supplies ( utensil, plates, pans) and detergents provided. - Modern décor - Comfortable bed and linens - Chromecast set up for TV (super easy to steam your own apps) - Responsive staff via app and phone. I booked via my company travel app and needed assistance. If you book via third party you need to "check in" via their system before you arrive to get your building and room codes. They need a better word for this because I found it confusing; checking is what I do onsite when I arrive, not a week before I travel. Negatives - As of this review there was an active construction site on the west side of the building; Construction began around 5:30 am most days and I was woken up at 3 am one day due to site activities. Its a city and some noise is expected but the windows didn't block much noise. Similarly the door didn't do much to block noise, woken up by a few rowdy folks coming back from a night of partying. To be fair they were trying to be quiet but every sound just came right through the closed door. The site did provide ear plugs and I needed them every night. My personal preferences - Would have liked a digital key, the app had a function for it but the building didn't support it. - Wish the space had a desk or at least a square table to better double as a desk (since I was here for a work trip/conference) Overall I will probably try another Sonder property. The noise was a big factor for my mostly because I'm a light sleeper.

The place was fantastic. Location was great. Easy walking to Broadway! Construction is going on all around Nashville, we were not impacted in anyway. Sonder made our stay super enjoyable. Very responsive support team! Can’t say enough about our wonderful stay! We used Stow as our option for luggage storage on our last day. Great way to enjoy Nashville to the very last second!
