We were put in a twin room next to a construction site where they're making the foundations for a building. Construction started at 8:30am. When we asked to change rooms the woman at reception said there is no construction happening around the hotel, had to show her a picture for her to believe us. Even then she said there were no twin rooms available anywhere else. Hotel layout is really complicated, to get to our rooms we had to take an elevator for three floors, travel across the hotel and get another elevator to our rooms. Water took 10minutes to heat up eventhough we're in a capital city. There was a buzzing noise in the room, and the aircon rattled very loudly when turned on. The man at reception in the afternoon was more helpful. Breakfast buffet was lovely.

The hotel itself is in a great location. However, there are major constructions going on outside our room which started at 8am until 6pm - not the hotel’s fault, however, when we asked to move rooms with one woman and she insisted there was no construction going on, even after showing her a picture of it, so we were denied. We asked to move again the following day with a different worker who was more than happy to help. Our new room was away from the construction, so it was very quiet. The breakfast was great, I would highly recommend it.

My stay was amazing, great hotel the hotel safe were very helpful great staff, breakfast was delicious choice of meal and fruits all fresh , the in house amenities was fantastic, and the location was really nice for me . Rest assured I will be visiting again. Thanks you La Maison Royal. My overall experience was above expectations due to the bad reviews. Am happy I made my own decision. I was not disappointed

It was a nice place to stay when you’re in a budget. It’s located near the city where the malls and restaurants are situated and transport is convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful to us especially when we checked in very early in the morning.
