The hotel its self is amazing, the grounds and the facilities very special. The issues we had were predominately operational, lack of responsiveness from staff, inappropriate safety measures in the room or when construction workers were operating, lack of children's provisions at restaurants. The kids club was not open or operational when it was meant to be, this is not acceptable considering its part of what we paid for. Other than that the room was filthy, I actually took videos of the piles of dust underneath the cupboards and I will share them online for future guests. We often had to get our towels by the pool, were not given water or checked in on. There we also other small things that we noticed that were different from the previous year like the pool fires were not all put on, ramadan decorations took a long time to take down etc. These operational standards are the minimum you expect when staying in a 5 star resort from The Ritz and none of them were adhered to.
