There are more expensive options in Murren but none better. New section with premium rooms have ceiling to floor windows and a small balcony overlooking the cliff and across to the impossibly stunning jungfrau peaks. Nice outdoor cafe has the same (and best) view. Staff is professional. Breakfast is fine. Hikes are everywhere. No need to stay in any other village. Just go.

Unforgettable views from our "superior panorama" room. Good size room with sitting area. Good size balcony with those remakable views.. Stayed 2 nights here and 1 in Lauterbruunen. Should have stayed 3 nights here. As Murren is only 12 min walk end to end you have very quick connections to Lauterbrunnen, Stecheberg, and Schilthorn. The owners and staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful. Restaurant has same killer views and good food. Owner had buffet breakfast ready for us at 6:30 which let us get an early trip up the mountain to beat the clouds. Highly recommend.

Great location with a short 5 min walk to the train station and 7 min walk to the gondola connecting to Gimmelwald. Delicious breakfast with numerous options including juices, coffee machine with different selections, eggs, meats, cheeses, salmon, breads, rolls, jams, and fresh/dried fruit. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms, including a crib for our son. Luggage storage available prior to check in, and we appreciated the take away option for food since we needed to catch an early morning train prior to breakfast being served. Beautiful views of the mountains from the lounge and breakfast area. Highly recommend!!

I can't say enough good things about Hotel Edelweiss. It is conveniently located about 50 yards from the train station. It is immaculately clean and quiet. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent food, and the breakfast is very good. We were in a premium room with a drop-dead gorgeous view. The restaurant also has spectacular views.

A very pleasant hotel with nice rooms and tea and coffee making facilities which were much appreciated. We ate on the terrace restaurant overlooking the mountains which was delightful and the food was very good. We couldn't fault the place but oddly we found the staff to be rather offhand including after reserving a table for dinner being told that if we didn't turn up on time our table would be given away. Also the receptionist seemed always to be distracted - maybe not enough staff? All in all though our stay was a very pleasant one and fine for the one night we were there.

I've never quite experienced anything like Hotel Edelweiss. We were in a premier suite in the annex. The view was simply spectacular and worth every penny. Everything was spotless and everyone working there was polite and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of options.

A lovely place, operated with great pride by its owners. We stayed in a junior suite in the new wing and I highly recommend it for a small family or a couple (like us) who wants some extra room to spread out. It has a separate living room and two full bathrooms, and the view from the balcony, while not the “Eiger view” is still spectacular! The hotel is a short walk from the train station, which, trust me, you’ll appreciate after coming up the cable car and off the train to Murren. There’s also a coin operated laundry in the hotel, which is a welcome feature if you’re hiking in these warmer summers. Murren is a dream, and we loved staying here. And it’s moderately priced, too.

The views at the hotel are amazing and worth the travel up. Breakfast is serviceable. The staff was nice at check in and let me drop my bags. Water in the shower was a bit hot and cold, but overall room was great. My balcony was perfect to sit and soak in the mountains.

Had a lovely stop here after an hours walk to Murren. Enjoyed two coffees and sampled their homemade strudel. Of course Switzerland prices so paid CHF26. Wasn't verbally pointed out to us but written in fine print on the menu that min charge for card was CHF30. Great view from their balcony opposite to mountains and people paragliding down the valley. Lots of people ordering food which looked good.
