Hotel New Orly

Sehr gute znd zentrale Lage in München, freundliche und kompetente Mitarbeiter am Enpfang, alles bestens!

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a small bar and a little restaurant. There is some parking available but not many spaces and a member of staff parks the cars in the tight spaces for you.Parking is 15 Euro per day at Hotel or 11 Euros on the street ( but not always many spaces). We could walk to some great restaurants and the area felt very safe for a large city. There was a small mini market and some coffee shops within 5 mins. Getting into Munich was a 40 mins walk or 3.90 Euro pp on ubahn. Ubers were about 13 /17 Euros. We had some free water in the room on arrival. Breakfast is available, but we didn't try. For us, the only negative was the 3rd bed for our adult daughter, which was a sofa bed with a thin mattress topper, which was not that comfortable.

Although our reservation was for and it has been mentioned in the confirmation as 1 double bed + 2 single beds, we had 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed. Apart from that everything was fine. Very good breakfast.

My room was rather hot. It also backed up to the parking lot that was noisy from very early morning hours although it was Oktoberfest. The room had loud mechanical noise from around 5:30am. The area was far from central or anything of interest.

Hotel New Orly is a great hotel. All the staff are extremely kind and super helpful. We loved staying at hotel New Orly. There is mayor construction at the front of the hotel, it is a bit loud but there is double glazing windows which helps alot. The construction starts at 7am and ends at 6pm. There is a wonderful breakfast spread in the morning. The is also a big supermarket called Rewe just 100 meters behind the hotel. So don’t use google maps because it shows you a place called Lidl which is much further away and not as good as Rewe Some rooms don’t have balcony’s but that is better because if you have one, the size of the balcony is reduced from your room, which would make your smallish room smaller. There is a gym and sauna located downstairs. The hotel is located in a good area and you can get a Taxi from the front desk. There is also a bar. An a built in restaurant, but it is very busy so you will struggle to find a seat if your a family The TV connection is spotty not all channels work, there was no air con remote in our room, but it was -3 degrees so it wasn’t needed, the bathroom is extremely tiny but useable. If you are traveling to Munich overseas we recommend you download the MAPS.ME app which lets you download the map and use the services without a WiFi connection which is very useful when finding restaurants/shops etc. Housekeeping was not super good, they never gave us new sugar nor milk, we had to go to the shops and buy milk. They never put the pillows back on the couch in the morning, all they did was clean dishes, make bed, and give fresh towels, disappointing for a 4 star hotel. But this does not impact how great Hotel Orly is. The minibar is extremely over priced, so we recommend you go buy stuff at the Rewe 100m away from the hotel. Munich is extremely safe and nice, so don’t worry about walking at night alone. Hotel New Orly is a absolutely amazing hotel! Hotel New Orly = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel was small but really cute, people kind and always trying to help. The room small but comfortable and you get what you need, but it was really really hot and it didn’t have air conditioner.

I enjoy the Orly because the rooms are neat and clean and a decent size with a working desk. The breakfast is great and the staff very helpful. The 500 m walk to the U Bahn is very convenient. Best of all, you are out of the tourist district but surrounded by good restaurants frequented by locals.

We visited Munich in August and stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. We were not satisfied due to the following reasons. Although we booked a family room for 4 people, the room was too narrow, because in fact it was a double room with a double bed added. So the remaining space was too limited. Also there was no air conditioning. A small fan was completely insufficient to make us feel a little better since the temperature was often climbing at 32 degrees. Additionally there were no window sieves and many insects were entering the room day and night. The available fridge was too small, was not working well and could hardly cool the water. Finally, I would like to point out that during the entire 7 days that we stayed there, the sheets were not changed even once. In conclusion, I can't even imagine how this hotel can be rated as a four-star hotel.
