Plaza Premium München

Really comfortable parking in a spacious hall under the hotel. Stylish and clean, big enough room. Splendid breakfast with healthy shots, detox water, omelett chef etc. Well located considering airport and access to downtown and Oktoberfest by Ubahn.

The hotel is well equipped. We had a room with a coffee machine, fridge and microwave. Everything is clean. Situated a five minute walk from the train station. But….. we moved rooms three times as the wifi is impossible. We had no phone with us, and relied on the internet for overseas communications. IF you get a signal, it has one bar, extremely slow and highly likely to cut out. The TV signal is equally poor and many stations cannot connect. We had better reception in the laundromat down the road. We spent 2 weeks travelling throughout Eastern Europe in hotels of a far poorer standard but this had no comparison. Should you rely in internet for work, or social contact, avoid this hotel.

Pros: comfy bed/pillows. Good TV. We appreciated the empty fridge for storing leftovers/drinks, the microwave, and dishes/cutlery provided. The hotel and our room seemed clean, and the location was convenient to transit and the Englischer Garten. Cons: The 2-story high window in our room was a cool novelty, but along with the view of the unkempt courtyard, we could see and be seen via several other windows across the courtyard, so we opted to keep the shade closed for the sake of privacy. This made it dark and gloomy in the room at all times. We had enjoyed several hotels/B&B's without AC earlier in our travels, but we decided to splurge a bit to have AC on the final leg of our trip. Unfortunately, the "nicer room" was two stories high with a loft bedroom, and the AC unit was installed under the loft. In spite of working the AC unit all day and all night, the cooler air did not reach the upper level where we slept. By the 3rd night, it was not noticeably cooler upstairs than it had been the first night. I asked at the front desk if they could at least provide a fan and was flatly told "we don't provide fans." And of course, there was no way to open the giant 2-story window to get a breeze. Between the non-existent customer service and the waste of money, this was my least favorite of the 6 places we stayed, 4 of which had no AC at all. The breakfast buffet costs an extra 20 Euros a person, so we opted to go elsewhere. There is a revolving door at the front entrance which is not automatic. Next to the revolving door, there is a regular door with a button for automatic access, but it was locked or not working both times we tried it. So we did not find the hotel entrance to be friendly to those with accessibility needs.

Great location. Not far from tram station and great for the football match. The only problem is there are no staff on at night times. Plenty of places to see and the centre of munich is a must. If you like it there is a McDonald's over the road znd a mini supermarket.

Bei Terminen in München haben wir das Plaza gebucht, 98 € das Einzelzimmer mit Frühstück. Wenn man viel auf Geschäftsreise ist sehen irgendwann alle Hotels gleich aus. Aber immerhin, das Plaza bietet ein sauberes Business Zimmer mit einem recht schönen geräumigen Bad und begehbarer Dusche. Ggü. ist ein McDonald’s wo man auch zu später Stunde noch etwas bekommt. Ein bisschen stört der Straßenlärm, so dass man eigentlich nicht bei offenem Fenster schlafen kann. Besonders erwähnen muss ich aber das Frühstück. An einem Tresen an der Frontseite des ohnehin reichhaltigen Frühstücksbüffet, bereitet eine junge Dame hervorragende Omeletts oder Spiegeleier, die jedem noch so verkaterten Businessman ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubert.

I unfortunately had a bad experience. €751 was taken from my credit card for a booking that I had canceled within the allowed time. I received a response to my inquiries only after several days and many follow-ups. I will no longer provide my credit card details.They are unreliable Their booking management software is really terrible. In the room, I found a torn towel. The breakfast was simple, and the staff — especially one gentleman — was rude. German: Leider habe ich eine schlechte Erfahrung gemacht. Es wurden mir 751 € von meiner Kreditkarte abgebucht, obwohl ich die Buchung rechtzeitig storniert hatte. Die Antwort auf meine Rückfragen kam erst nach vielen Tagen und zahlreichen Nachfragen. Ich werde meine Kreditkartendaten nicht mehr angeben. Ihre Buchungssoftware ist wirklich schlecht. Im Zimmer habe ich ein zerrissenes Handtuch vorgefunden. Das Frühstück war einfach, und das Personal – insbesondere ein Herr – war unhöflich.
