The Days Inn Mt. Vernon is located in the Skagit Valley and is surrounded by the Cascade Mountains on the east and the Olympic Mountains on the west. We are located 50 miles from the Canadian border. The area is noted as the Home of the annual International Tulip Festival which runs during the month of April. We are 64 miles from Mount Baker and just 15 miles from the Anacortes Ferry which provides daily service to Canada and San Juan Island. There are many golf courses and 3 great Casinos within a 10 mile radius. Mall and outlet shopping within 2 miles. Many shops and restaurants with in walking distance. The on-premise Patron Mexican Restaurant has a bar and is opened for lunch and dinner. Banquet and meeting rooms are available and a seasonal outdoor pool and a huge parking area for RV or truck parking. 30 miles to scenic Deception Pass Park with bridge across the Puget Sound to Whidbey Island. The general maintenance looks like it's been done by a 5th grader, half the lights in the room didn't work, carpet pretty stained but everything else in the room appeared clean.

We didn’t stay. Went to check in and the lobby was gross, the area was sketchy, they wanted an extra $100 upfront, even though the room had been paid for.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. But it was difficult to get a good night's sleep because there was a loud train whistle at least six or more times during the night.
The breakfast hours were posted to be until 10 am. We went there just before 8 am and there was only 2 kinds of juice, a bowl of apples and some dry cereal. There was no milk for the cereal and the container which probably should have had bread for toast or something like muffins or bagels was empty.
All in all, not a great experience.

I found ants in my room. The coffee maker in the room didn't work, my car was egged on the first night I was there. But the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and continental breakfast was provided from 6-10. It was about average.

The hotel was comfortable and quiet and well located. Room cleaning was by request. Breakfest was minimal. All carbs and no protein. Would I stay there again? YES.

This hotel is not kept up. It smelled so strongly of bleach and chlorine but the room was not entirely clean. The front desk was kind. The walls were paper thin and people were noisy all evening and day. It was uncomfortable beds but clean sheets.

The stuffed chair and hassock were old, dirty, torn.
Upkeep, sadly, not great. It would take so little to make small repairs - peeling paint above the shower, cleaning the glass on the front doors, running a carpet cleaner, a little wood putty here and there.

Breakfast is cereal , bread and an apple so really light . Bed sheets were not changed as we found lot of hair other than that it was ok place to stay
