Hakuna Matata Game Farm

It was a nice break away. So relaxed and highly recommended to any person. The place is well located spacious, clean. The hot tub is very nice.

My family and i had an amazing time, despite the bad weather on our first day, very relaxing that is what we needed, Kids enjoyed themselves, situated close to everything we needed, host was very friendly Will definitively go back there,

3* accommodation but a 5* experience. The view overlooking the waterhole, seeing the various game visiting it and grazing was fabulous. We had the 2 bedroom for just 2 of us but for 2 couples sharing it'd be perfect as the bedrooms are separate, one "in" the home, the other attached. We spent most of the time on the deck though or in the wood fired hot tub, which was a lovely relaxing experience both in the day and in the evening. We also went out on the (extra cost) game drive, which was informative and nice to meet the husband (or staff, as we jokingly referred to him as) Both hosts are friendly and helpful and genuinely seem to want their guests to enjoy their stay. Although everything is there to self cater, we chose to eat out most nights and there are a few options, 10 to 15 minutes drive away. Finally, we were granted a late check out which really helped us in our onward journey and meant we were able to enjoy another morning on the deck admiring the view.

If hospitality had a face it would definitely be the friendliest couple Lustine and Paul from Hakuna Matata Game Farm. They helped us out with literally everything, were always easy to contact and gave us such a warm welcome in the area. The cottage we stayed in had a beautiful view on the fields where buffaloes & zebra's came to graze. We could watch them from our own hottub on the balcony! The cottage itself had all the utilities we needed and very nice beds. We definitely recommend to stay here!!

We loved this place. Very relaxing and wonderful environment. We did 2 game drives: 1 at botlierskop which is 20 min drive and 1 at Hakuma Matata game farm. I recommend to do both.. Hakuma is smaller but more authentic. Probably one of the best places we had on our trip in south africa.

This property suited our needs perfectly. Pleasant cottage with views over the dam of buffalo, zebra and various buck. The braai area was perfect for entertaining under the stars. Two suggestions, larger bed and brighter lights when load shedding takes place.
