Nant Morzine

This was a perfect stay for a low key, relaxed hotel needed as a base for skiing in Morzine / Avoriaz. It’s a self service checkin and no reception desk, but they have a very responsive and helpful WhatsApp chat whenever you need assistance. Breakfast was lovely a selection of cheese, meats, bread, cereals, yoghurts etc and there was an honesty bar where you can help yourself to tea, coffee, wine and water throughout your stay. My room was small, basic but nice and had everything I needed. The bus stop to the town / gondala’s is right outside which is really handy with free buses very often taking you to town. It’s around a 15 minute walk otherwise. Would recommend staying here for a stay in Morzine!

4 of us arrived on Friday for a 3 night trip. After hearing the time of our arrival Bethan was kind enough to have our rooms made up and gave us access from 12 instead of 4 which meant we could quickly change and head to the slopes. We booked a twin and 2 singles. The twin was very nice. The singles rooms are basic but comfortable and work well for one person. Showers in the single rooms are small but good enough. I had an issue with one of the locks on the single room so Bethan allowed me to switch on the first night to more spacious room with larger shower. The hotel has everything you need for a short trip where most of the time you are either skiing or at Apres/ out eating. We only used the hotel to sleep/ shower. Continental breakfast was included with croissants and yoghurts available as well as eggs cheese etc, was a good start to the day. Hotel is about 10-12 min walk from the super Morzine bubble and village centre. Would be a pain in ski boots but we kept ours at the local ski shop at the bottom of the lift so wasn’t an issue. There’s also a direct bus right outside that we used a couple of times. Final day we were given a late checkout in one room which allowed us to put all the bags in one room to change were we came back about 1:30 pm. . Overall very nice hotel with friendly staff and all the things needed for a short ski trip. Thank you to The Nant and team.

PLUS · We found this place on *********** for a 4-day cycling trip. Pictures looked great, their website too. Prices were a bit cheaper than other places so we went for it. Downstairs area was nicely refurbished. Pool table with a small bar where you can take your drinks yourself. MINUS· This is more of a hostel / student dorm place, not a hotel. You get your room number & entry door codes by text, keys are on the door. Nobody at the reception. One bedsheet and one towel per person for multiple days. NO CLEANING, NO REFRESHING OF TOWELS. Some rooms sizes are oke, other are way too tiny. Bathrooms and toilets the same. Leaking shower heads & loose cranes everywhere. I guess they have one room refurbished well which you see on the pictures, the others are just cheaply repaired not even refurbished! Breakfast is oke, nothing special, if everything would arrive on time. Some days the owner still had to bake his oven baguettes when breakfast was already open.

This reviews is a bit mixed tbf! The hotel is more like a hostel which isn’t an issue as it’s cheap! The downstairs area is nice and welcoming. Rooms are ok! Beds fine, bathrooms ok (water temp needs improving) the biggest issue was my key could unlock other doors. Which isn’t a safe thing at all. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast is a bit minimal but ok! Bus stop outside that takes you to le Pleney. 15 min walk to the lifts. Overall not the best but the locks really ruined it and put me off. Hence low review.

Comment peut-on appeler ça un hôtel ? Super bruyant (tout grince le moindre pas extérieur s'entend chaque voiture) très mal isolé Porte de chambre de maison matelas hyper souple ..... Tout est cache misère. Je ne comprends pas certains avis
