"We had a brilliant time. We were treated like royalty the entire time. On arrival you with greeted with cold towel and juice. We checked in at 3:30pm and were able to do our first safari drive at 4:30 so we’re delighted. The welcome staff member shows you around the lodge and to your room which is a nice touch. The room was luxurious. Some reviews question this, I would say to remind yourself you are in South Africa. Their version of luxury is different to western modern luxury. The room was clean and had so much African charm. The shower featured a stone fall which was weird but we grew to love it. Feels like you are outside. The pool area was nice. Staff are very friendly and charming. There are 2 Safari drives included during your stay. 5:30am and 4:30pm. We were introduced to our guide and tracker on our first ride out. Ours were Charlie and James. You ride out with the same team and same guests every time which we loved because you build a relationship with the guides and guests. We made friends with the other guests making it a lovely experience. They have a 2 car only policy when looking at animals. If there are other cars wanting to look they have to wait. It seems they care about their wild animals and give them space. This is probably why we saw them all. We saw all of the big 5 twice in 4 days. Our daily schedule was like this, Woken up 5am Coffee at 5:15am Safari start 5:30am Back for breakfast 9am 10am - 13:30 you have to yourself. We went to the pool. Some guests slept we think. 13:30 lunch 14:30 we showered and got ready for evening Safari 15:30meet for safari. 16:00 Safari ride out. 19:30 dinner 20:30 drinks with out other guests in our car. 22:00 bed. We were knackered We had a fabulous time and didn’t want to go home. Thank you to all the team."
