For a “budget vacation” this was ok, 3/5; property is dated, broken elevator; 5 friendly cats on premises; family friendly, no big parties but woken a few nights- a scary verbal altercation at 2am x 10mins; people in halls being loud; woken by strong smell of **** but its Jamaica so not surprising; a giant crash/breaking glass in the night -sliding glass doors to the balcony in a room 2 doors down shattered, not sure why/how but it didn’t seem like anyone was hurt thankfully; we reported it but no one was in a hurry to fix it because it stayed like that for the remaining few days we had left; requested a King bed when booking on ******* but the hotel said it came through as a standard room booking which is 2 double beds so I guess we didn’t read the fine print. We did upgrade our room from a garden view ground floor that smelled of mildew to an ocean view 4th floor with vaulted ceilings, balcony & no smell which was great. The food & drinks were good, we didn’t get sick. Didn’t have bottled water unless bought at gift shop so drank tap water & was fine. The staff was super; premises was clean and the night entertainment was good; favourite part was the “Tek it Easy” island across from the main beach; great snorkeling- bring you own water shoes, lots of coral & ****s! Towels weren’t always available in AM but lots of loungers; Close to airport but off a noisy street. We wouldn’t stay here again but met people on their 6th stay there 🙂
