Nos alojamos aquí un par de noches durante una visita reciente a Sicilia. La ubicación era perfecta, a unos 10 minutos a pie de la parada del autobús y justo detrás de la carretera principal del casco antiguo. Los propietarios fueron amables y serviciales. Tuvimos un par de problemas para acceder a nuestra caja de llaves y aparecieron en 10 minutos para ayudar. Los códigos de acceso para ingresar a la propiedad se enviaron minutos después de haber confirmado nuestra reserva en línea, un día antes de llegar a Sicilia. Limpieza: la propiedad estaba limpia, las habitaciones estaban limpias y eran modernas. Decoración y muebles también. El precio era razonable teniendo en cuenta la ubicación y las instalaciones. ¡La cocina común con café y té gratis fue una ventaja adicional bienvenida! Considerándolo todo, muy feliz y: 1. Definitivamente lo recomiendo. 2. Quédate aquí de nuevo.

Estaba cerca de ZTL, así que casi me atravesé. No hay aparcamiento. No hay entrada grande al hotel. Sólo mira la pequeña señal y entra. Salir al quinto piso, la Catedral Duomo está cerca. El restaurante que recomendó era tan delicioso. La habitación era limpia y el tamaño era razonable. La insulación sonora parecía un poco mala. El desayuno era un montón de desserts.

We stayed here as part of a group. Our room was lovely, but rather cool and dark, with a tiled floor, so if staying in the cooler months take pyjamas and slippers. There was (plug-in) heating in the room. The shower room fittings looked ancient but worked very well, with a plentiful supply of toiletries and towels replaced regularly. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of freshly prepared fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, some hot food, croissants, warm rolls and bread for toasting. AND a huge array of sweet things. The coffee could have been better, but lots of different teas available with a teapot. We only had 2 dinners here, neither of which were that special, but the restaurant was always full in the evenings. Staff were helpful, friendly and spoke good English.

This hotel is a former palace so the room is decorated in baroque style. The breakfast room is beautiful with a very good breakfast and service. That’s all for the positives Firstly , it’s not located at the older , historic part of town. It’s about 30 min walk down the hill and multiple stairs and then 30 min walk back up the stairs and up the hill. I booked the suite since we were traveling with 2 kids and got a large room with 2 uncomfortable foldable beds for the kids. When asked for a beach towel, was told that the charge was 5 euros per person ( charge , not a deposit!!). I would advise to stay elsewhere in beautiful Ragusa.

Poggio del Sole Hotel Is a hotel of contradiction with impressive and grossly unimpressive features. The hotel is very large considering its remote, rural location. The foyer area is enormous with a large comfortable lounge area. There are numerous large dining areas and you can also eat by the side of the large pool. The pool also has a bar so you can order drinks and snacks. The decor is tasteful with wooden reproductions of a variety of cactus plants including the prickly pear, a noxious **** in Australia but its fruit is used to flavour spirits in Sicily. All sounds very impressive and favourable so far. So how do most people spend most of their time besides sleeping? Browsing the Internet on their phones and iPads. Whilst “free WiFi” signs are common in hotels, cafes etc., it is now a universal expectation. With this in mind, efficient internet connectivity is both mandatory and essential. During our two day stay, WiFi was generally unavailable. To make matters worse, the restaurant menu was only available electronically and there were no paper back up menus. Selecting a food choice from an invisible menu is a challenge. Understandably the restaurant staff seemed to be in a permanent state of stress. The food was very good but a prayer may be needed to get what you ordered. Oh! yes. The rooms are large and have all the expected facilities except for drink making items. Large bed but with 3-stars for comfort. Large bathroom, hot water but wafer thin towels. So lots of pluses, a few minor negatives and the WiFi issue may not be a regular problem (suspect it is), restaurants have atmosphere and reasonable food so just remember to bring a book to read for when your mobile device is inoperative.

I made buissenes trip to Pozzallo port to attend vessel. And vsl agent put me to Nautico. It is good place with good owner. Room was OK, with 3 beds and interesting painting on the walls. And also very tasty meals there. Also it was very interesting professional coffee machine there. It was needed some technical imagination to cope with it. Owner will replace it to modern. And his one could be used for museum. 😀
