"From Sendai Station, take the Sengoku Line to Matsushima-Kaigan Station in about 40 minutes. Taxis are available at this station; a 15-minute ride costs about 2250 yen. The hotel doesn't offer a free shuttle service. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with warm and attentive service. Name tags on slippers prevent you from wearing the wrong ones for the hot springs, and the menu in the evenings also includes your name – impeccable attention to detail. The room views are superb, all facing Matsushima Bay. Unfortunately, it rained heavily during my two stays, so I'll have to come back another time. Matsushima is one of Japan's three most scenic spots, and I personally think it surpasses Amanohashidate. I haven't visited Miyajima yet. The entire Matsushima-Kaigan is meticulously designed, with exquisite details throughout. The rooms are large and luxurious. The bathroom has a cypress wood tub for hot spring bathing, and the yukata and shawl are elegant and beautiful. The staff are incredibly patient, translating every detail of the procedures for me using their phones without simplifying things for foreign tourists. The person who greeted me was a very enthusiastic and attentive young woman. In the afternoon, the bar plays Yo-Yo Ma music and offers complimentary tea, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. The Japanese-style room was made up in the evening and the bed was taken away in the morning. The service was always top-notch. The only slight disappointment was that dinner was a bit slow. Breakfast offered a choice of Western or Japanese options; I chose the Japanese one, which was very plentiful and nutritious. The Daikin air conditioner was a bit noisy even at its lowest setting, so I turned it off. I've slept on very comfortable tatami mattresses in many places, but the bedding here was of exceptional quality, and I had a good night's sleep. The onsen (hot spring) was very clean and not crowded. In the afternoon, fresh roses were provided in the outdoor pool for you to add to the hot spring. It's also worth praising that check-out is at noon. The spacious, beautiful, and scenic hotel reflected its high quality in every detail. Overall, it was a wonderful stay."

He took excellent care of us, anticipating our needs and showing great hospitality. He picked us up from the train station, and advised us on activities in the area. I would highly recommend you stay here if you are looking for a quiet, low key place close to the beach."

"Lamentablemente cambiaron el sistema informático de recepción de reservas y fue imposible contactar con ellos antes de mi llegada. Les explico mi situación tan desagradable y no me creen. A mayores se dedicaron a llamar por teléfono a quien no tenían que llamar (ya que esto era un regalo) pidiendo explicaciones por lo sucedido. Fue una experiencia horrible que al final se saldó bajando la cabeza por mi parte y evitando hablar más del malentendido. Tambien deben utilizar un lenguaje más inclusivo con cualquier colectivo sobre todo cuando se refieren al personal que trabaja allí, ya que yo no necesitaba saber los detalles de como es ni que le pasa a la persona que amablemente me acompañó a enseñarme la habitación y no podía llevarme las maletas....Esta persona hizo muy bien su trabajo y fue educada y profesional. Les doy dos estrellas porque al final la situación con los dueños se solucionó mejor de lo que esperaba, con calma; el onsen está muy bien y las habitaciones son amplias. El hotel se ubica en un extremo del pueblo. Hablan inglés."

"I stayed at this hotel to attend a live concert at Sendai Sekisui Heim Arena. It's about a 10-minute walk from the nearest station, Rifu Station. You can see the hotel sign from the station, so if you have time, it's within walking distance. A taxi ride from Rifu Station to the hotel cost between ¥740 and ¥880. I had mailed my luggage to the hotel in advance, so they left it in my room after I checked in, making my journey easier. The room had a calming atmosphere with wood-grain furniture and chic wallpaper. There was a large mirror and the room lighting was white, making it easy to apply makeup. On the way back, they were very helpful, sending my luggage from the hotel, calling a taxi for me to the station, and even renting an umbrella since it was raining. I'd definitely stay here again."

"This is the newest hotel in Matsushima, so the facilities are top-of-the-line. Those who enjoy private onsen (hot spring baths) can relax and enjoy them without worry. What I really want to talk about is their service. First, before check-in, we contacted the hotel via email, and they responded quickly, adjusting the transportation arrangements promptly based on our arrival situation. Second, during our stay, the staff learned that we planned to visit Tashirojima, and since it was during typhoon season, the hotel staff kept an eye on the weather and ferry operations for us. Finally, regarding language, the hotel has two staff members who speak Mandarin, so there were no communication barriers throughout our stay."
