"I was referred to this hotel by a nearby Hilton when I needed a last-minute stay for work. I hadn’t heard of Tru before, so I was initially a bit hesitant, but the hotel manager (Ayesha, I believe) immediately put me at ease when I called to ask about room availability. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff member, who was friendly, patient, and very organized. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I especially appreciated the abundance of outlets and USB ports throughout both the guest room and the communal dining and workspace areas on the ground floor. The decor and furniture felt modern, fresh, and thoughtfully designed. It honestly felt like a more youthful, Gen Z-inspired take on the traditional Hilton experience — and I mean that entirely as a compliment. I’m genuinely excited to see this concept continue expanding across North America, as it strikes a great balance between sustainability, affordability, and comfort!"

"new property but less than exciting. service was poor but not really surprising when we learned it is managed by the same team as manage the Home 2 next door. the rooms are extremely tiny - you have to go out into the hall to change your mind... we requested housekeeping during our stay and receive it once. I had go to the front desk and ask for clean towels. (no one really cares) the breakfast is buffet style, no butter, limited selection of amenities, when they fill the plastic cutlery trays, they do so with the handles down... I explained to the young man who was attending why it was wrong, no one had explained how to do it, but he thanked me and fixed them. the next morning it was wrong again however the front desk person filled them that morning who was also trained wrong. Given the management it is no wonder service is poor, staff are inadequately trained, and cleaning is substandard. as you would expect given the common senior management."

"La habitación era muy grande y tenía un lavabo y una mesa. El desayuno estaba bien en general, lo suficiente para comer al principio de su día. Pero, tengo muy malas preocupaciones sobre la higiene de la cama. No hay cubiertas de cubierta adecuadas, y las hojas de cama son sintéticas, así que despierta encontrar la hoja de cama en algún lugar del lado, y su cuerpo está justo debajo de la hoja. No creo que el hotel lave la ropa después de cada cliente, así como la tapa superior. Y no se sentía muy agradable considerando cuántos otros cuerpos tocaron el mismo tapón y cuáles podrían tener consecuencias para mi familia y para mí. No es el primer hotel en Canadá que tiene el mismo problema, pero creo que una cadena tan grande como Hilton debería reconsiderar su cama para que sus clientes se sienten seguros. Hemos viajado mucho en Europa y Asia, hemos estado en varios hoteles, incluido Hilton, y nunca tuve un problema como ése. Así que puede ser la cosa local, y no se siente bien en absoluto."
