Having stayed on the resort several times and in different locations we thought it would be nice to try Malibu Mansions/Apartments as all properties have been great, with plenty of facilities, all in good condition. We rented A01 from Rafleys via Bookin.com. When we walked in we thought "Looks just like we expected, Happy days !" How wrong were we ? The apartment needs a total overall.... it was also in need of a damn good clean ! We were disappointed to find damaged cupboard doors, leaking taps in the kitchen, loose handles on the furniture, dirty cutlery and crockery, the previous tenants bread stuck in the toaster, a rusty bread bin, loose towel rails and hooks, torn netting on the patio doors, several dirty hand marks on walls and ceiling, even a blood splatter on one wall ! The list goes on to include flaking ceiling paint right above the patio table, loose drainage cover in the shower, no plug in the kitchen sink and disgustingly dirty toilet brushes that need replacing. We had a visit from a little lizard one day who decided to hide under our bed. I lifted the bed to look under....WOW ! The poor lizard must have choked on all of the dust underneath. Mind, at least he had plenty to eat from underneath, including a chewy sweet! It looked like it had not been clean for months ! The owners either don't know about these issues or just don't care about them. The dis-repair of the apartment did not spoil our holiday though as Mijas Costa is lovely and suits us just fine. Would we stay on Wyndhams complex again....Probably. Would we stay at Malibu again....Possibly. Rafleys A01....DEFINITELY NOT !!! Rafleys have not even acknowledged our emails.... which have been polite and informative, not sent as a complaint.
