"Este es el lugar que debes visitar si buscas un paraíso tranquilo y confortable. Un lugar precioso y gente aún más encantadora; su amabilidad y profesionalidad marcaron la diferencia. Visitamos el hotel a finales de febrero y, aunque el clima era agradable, el aire acondicionado es algo que conviene tener en cuenta y que marca una gran diferencia. Está situado en una playa tranquila, lejos de las zonas turísticas más concurridas, pero ofrece lo mejor de Zanzíbar y las actividades imprescindibles, además de otros restaurantes de calidad a poca distancia a pie. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, limpias y con todo lo necesario. Nos encantó que fumigaran contra los mosquitos y prepararan la cama con el mosquitero cada noche. Aparte de la amplia variedad de opciones de entretenimiento en el hotel y en el menú de la cena, no podríamos pedir nada más. Lo recomendamos al 100%."

"Stayed here for e nights and absolutely loved it. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, beautiful decor, good pool. Staff are lovely and friendly, breakfast is superb, fruits, breads, choice of 5 different breakfast courses, coffee and juice. The grounds are lovely. the place has a really chilled vibe about it. There's not much to do in Matenwe apart from walking on the beach and relaxing, and Villa Unaweza makes you want to do exactly that, relax. Villa has a great restaurant and bar area, and the beach is no more than a minutes walk away. "

"This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We booked our stay ten months in advance and paid in full eight months before our arrival, yet it was nothing short of a disaster from the moment we arrived. Upon arrival, the manager failed to greet us properly. Instead, we were directed to sit on the sofas in the reception area without any explanation. It wasn’t until 1.5 hours later that we learned—from other guests in the same situation, not the staff—that our room had been overbooked. We were then shuttled to a half-finished hotel that didn’t come close to the standards of the hotel we had originally booked. We were assured this was a temporary arrangement and that we’d be moved to a villa near the booked hotel the next day. However, the following day we were taken to yet another substandard, half-finished building. This one had two small rooms with beds, an empty fridge, and little else. It felt as though the staff from the downstairs restaurant had been hastily evicted to make space for us. The building was infested with flies, lacked basic amenities like drinking water, towels, air conditioning, toilet paper, and WiFi, and appeared incomplete. The shower didn’t work, and there was even a man sleeping in the backyard. Worse still, it wasn’t anywhere near the hotel we had booked. Compensation wasn’t offered until we explicitly asked for it, and even then, all we received was free food for two days at the hotel. The service at the restaurant was slow, and our orders were frequently wrong. The food itself was mediocre at best. That said, the restaurant staff were very kind and welcoming, which was one of the few positives. When we finally got our room, there were no twin rooms available, so we had to settle for a double bed. While this was fine, the entire experience left a sour taste. The pool area was lovely, and the other guests were pleasant, but these were small comforts in an otherwise dreadful stay. This hotel has great potential, but based on our experience, it’s far from meeting even basic standards. I would not recommend it."

"Para concluir nuestro safari, mi novia y yo pasamos tres días maravillosos en Sunrise at Bandas. La cálida bienvenida del gerente, increíblemente amable, fue un comienzo fantástico. Nos explicó todo lo que necesitábamos saber y nos informó sobre las diversas actividades, en su mayoría gratuitas. Después, nos mostraron las cabañas, que estaban impecables. Nos alojamos en la que tenía una pequeña piscina y una terraza encantadora. Estaba reluciente y simplemente perfecta. La primera noche hubo música en vivo, que fue absolutamente fantástica. Músicos excelentes, un ambiente maravilloso: prácticamente nos hizo levantarnos de nuestros asientos y ponernos a bailar. El largo y agotador viaje y nuestro cansancio quedaron instantáneamente olvidados. También reservamos un traslado en taxi desde y hacia Stone Town a través del hotel. El taxi era muy espacioso e impecablemente limpio, y todo salió a la perfección. La clientela era variada, incluyendo parejas jóvenes y personas mayores, y el ambiente era muy relajado. Una gran ventaja del complejo es el suministro de agua gratuito y fácil. Puedes rellenar tus botellas con agua fría o a temperatura ambiente en un dispensador en cualquier momento. Las camas son maravillosamente cómodas; los colchones tienen el tamaño perfecto, ni demasiado blandos ni demasiado firmes. Gracias a los techos altos y al diseño espacioso, nunca hacía demasiado calor para dormir, y las cabañas se refrescaban naturalmente con la brisa marina. Solo nos dimos cuenta al llegar de que el mar no es lo suficientemente profundo para nadar la mayor parte del tiempo. Por lo visto, no lo habíamos considerado de antemano. Tras un breve momento de decepción, descubrimos la piscina, amplia y con una ubicación preciosa (hay dos en total). Allí reinaba una paz absoluta... ¡problema resuelto! Y luego está el personal... en mi opinión, ese es el factor más importante para sentirse a gusto. El personal es increíblemente amable y encantador. Aunque solo estuvimos allí tres días, nos sentimos parte de esta pequeña comunidad. ¡Fue fantástico, muchísimas gracias a todos!"

"This is a worst hotel in all of Zanzibar island. I am a Travel agency based in Arusha , Tanzania. This year I booked an accomodation for two french tourists for 8 days in this hotel Zanoceanique but they stayed only two nights and decided to shift to another hotel because this hotel , the bed mattress was very hard , my clients said they had an impression sleeping on a wooden board. They only slept 3 hours . Breakfast was not good there was not even a jam for breakfast . When they shifted to another hotel , I asked for refund for the days that my clients didn't stay but they refused to refund me while I have already paid back my clients 500 € . I reported them to the authority of Zanzibar but they still didn't refunded me. "
