This hotel is a little gem. Family run, super , helpful staff and great location. Peaceful and unpretentious hotel. Food was wonderful and the ambiance delightful. My room had a balcony overlooking the bay. Views from the terrace are amazing. Short steep walk to the little harbour with bars, restaurants and bookable boat trips. An excellent base for exploring the Amalfi Coast, away from the crowds and busy roads. Hope to return some day. ❤️

This is a great little place. There isn't really anything to complain about apart from maybe the breakfast lacks a bit of variety but you can still eat well. My room was lovely and spotlessly cleaned each day, with a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Staff are very nice. The hotel is in a great spot for watching the sunset over Ischia each evening. Actually, it's in a great spot, full stop . There's a path just left of the hotel that takes you up to Massa Lubrense which has some nice shops, restaurants and bars, and buses to Sorrento. Go down, and you can get boats from the marina to Capri, Amalfi and Positano. There's an agriturismo right by the hotel too and two really good restaurants at the marina if you're not half board. Round by Angelo's Bar you get to meet the locals and feel part of the place quite quickly because Angelo and Tabbachi Toni like to chat! Angelo's Bar is the hub and his daughters run it for him now and make you feel at home. April turned out to be a lovely time to go. Weather was great and it was still quiet but by no means lifeless. Met some really nice people. It was my second visit. Last time I went in October. Highly recommend these two months and this hotel. Just need to note the area is not good for anyone with mobility issues as it's steep going down to the marina and steep going up to Massa.

Second visit in just over 1 year. Many same staff, of which some are really helpful. Hotel facilities are pretty good and a nice pool area. Situated in a quiet location but close to the Marina Lobra.

Excellent family run hotel quaint location just a live the harbour of marina lobas. Excellent spacious bright airy room 401 with huge balcony terrace fourth floor! Stunning sea and bay views . Really pleased with the hotel very quaint and elegant on the interior but looks nothing from the front ! Super terrace for drinks and breakfast looking out over the sea , excellent resteraunt lovely furnishings . Breakfast excellent choices and evening meals limited set menu we were half board ate there a few nights but more dinner like meals when we wanted pizzas seafood etc but on the whole lovely . Bar staff snd waiters fabulous and so helpful and attentive . Pool area lovely shaded area and sun loungers although by the end of the week very busy and not enough loungers ! They have a smaller hotel across the road with maybe 18 rooms so they use the pool of this hotel same owners both properties are pristine the cleanliness is superb . Reception staff so helpful and a big thanks to our lovely morning waiter at breakfast who gave me some tips of where to go . Really lovely stay rooms spotless and maid service superb . We will definitely be back . Thank you all at piccolo paradiso . Just one negative the pool closed at 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs daily such bad Managememt the hottest part of the day I and others thought this pool cleaning and maintenance should be done first thing or after seven when it closes !!! Really wanted to jump in the pool after a morning and early afternoon jaunt out sightseeing !!!!

People need to remember that this is a 3 star hotel when reviewing. We’re just back from 2 weeks in this little gem. We were in room 203 with fantastic views over the sea. The room was very dated but kept exceptionally clean. Neither my husband or I found any problem with the bed, although we do like a firm one. Pool area great, so quiet but pool could maybe do with more regular cleaning. Food was very varied, we were 1/2 board and didn’t have any problem with having to make our dinner choices at breakfast time. Loved breakfast, just the kind of things we like when we’re abroad. Staff were great and the Maitre D’ could be quite fun once you got to know him more. Did a couple of boat trips from the marina which were great, the only drawback was walking back up the hill to the hotel but not really a problem for us, although you would struggle if you had any walking difficulties.Definitely recommend this hotel and won’t hesitate to stay here again if we come back to the area.

My parents have been coming here for 25 years, and now I understand why. The view over Ischia and the Gulf of Naples is absolutely breathtaking — truly one of the highlights of the stay. The hotel sits beautifully about 50 meters above the old harbour, in a small village that offers a peaceful and authentic atmosphere. Our rooms have been freshly renovated and feel bright and comfortable. The more experienced staff members were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, while the younger team seemed a bit more reserved, though still professional and attentive. The breakfast and dinner were very good for half-board. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing stay — we’ll definitely be back!

I have just returned home after spending 7 nights at this lovely hotel. I was so impressed by my experience there I felt I had to leave a review. The location was lovely with breath taking views although a little too far from Sorrento. The food was excellent, local cuisine always served piping hot, and with a homely touch. The staff were welcoming, friendly and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I liked the fact that the hotel was quite small so it was easy to make conversations with other guests. My room was cleaned every day to a high standard which was very much appreciated. I would like to say a big "thank you" to the family and staff for a truly memorable stay.

Clean, bright hotel in a quiet area on the coast. Beautiful views of the bay and a very nice terrace with a pool. They have a full restaurant and bar and the staff was very warm and helpful. The room was clean, bright and spacious. Everything looks new and very well taken care of. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It also had on-site parking, however, a tour bus was there, and they parked along the edge of the parking which made getting in and out of the parking lot a little bit difficult. I walked down to the port and then up into the town, which has a lot of beautiful buildings and churches to visit. There’s also a wonderful open public Terrace in the Square that overlooks the Bay. breakfast options were good, but not great although they did offer gluten-free bread, which was a helpful and appreciated item for me.
