indeed cozy & modern hotel, yet like other dis-recommendations here, I would point out: keep low expectations concerning Mama Marseille. one turn-off by Mama as a chain are the hotels positioning. We've been visiting Mama Paris several years ago, where I noticed they pick their locations in bad suburban neighborhoods, or even scary criminal surroundings waiting to be Jenificated. As a small family of 3 we landed on Friday in Marseille at an early hour and the staff did not want to promise us early check-in on the phone call before ordering, and were not able to hand us keys before 14:00. This feeling of mis-effort or even worse: non-effort attitude would guide the team that served us throughout our one night stay, When my wife called me for missing liquid shampoo while bathing they insisted responding & defending their Eco-friendly moto: "this is what we have! We believe in Eco-friendly soaps". A pro active approach would offer us some kind of alternative which is not found in room. Or otherwise, some liquid shampoo from the nearby supermarket (it seemed I wasn't the first one to ask, cause they're in the process of re-assessment about adding shampoo too the room). Then, I tried to light the table lamp with no success and saw one electricity point on the table and one was under the bed...had to bend and scroll under it (to find that neither electricity points don't work for the lamp). This is where I found plenty of dust & dirt under the bed. Cleaning personnel did not clean well under the bed!!! would you accept it? I did NOT & went down again to the receptionist to show her what I grabbed from the floor - she pictured it and sent the photo to her boss. Haven't heard from non of them up to this date. I also complained they do not distribute sleepers for room use, the receptionist did not understand me. Only when I showed her, the one for sale they show in their vitrine lobby was she willing to let me (only) one for use. Afterwards, taking my son for dinner at the (too dark - not enough light) restaurant I ordered nuggets & French fries for the kid. we waited too long (I almost wanted to cancel the order because of the wait) to find the French fries were burnt. I ordered another one, that came quickly this time and gladly deep fried not burnt. No sorry. No excuses. At checkout on Saturday after we paid for breakfast separately the receptionist tried to compensate us with a breakfast OTH, but again couldn't think out of the box and offer us with alternative compensation or cash in return, cause the boss wasn't on shift to do that for all the mistakes they did. Nevertheless she told me the boss will respond our complaints by e-mail....never got one!!!!
