"The hotel is old fashioned, rooms are relatively clean even though that it’s time for renovation. It’s good for the value, the nature and landscape is just wonderful, great for hiking. The food was my main problem… it was self service but it was constantly running out and you had to wait for them to cook another portion. Chicken was raw since they were in a hurry to cook more food because of the shortage… that chicken was the only bad memory of this place."

"El hotel está situado en las afueras de Maribor, justo en las calles. Las habitaciones son grandes y limpias. La automatización va un poco lejos como yo. Cortinas abiertos y cerrados cuando entras en la habitación. La televisión no funcionaba, pero se fijó rápidamente. Las habitaciones son calientes, pero manteniendo las ventanas abiertas durante la noche. El desayuno es estilo buffet y está bien. La cena es buffet o un camión de la caja. Buffet está bien, pero espero más. La cena de la caja era bastante buena con bonitos bistecs. Las bebidas en el bar son más altas que la media en Eslovenia."

"Our stay at Hotel Arena in Slovenia was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The setting alone is breathtaking — right at the base of the ski slope, with stunning mountain views and immediate access to the outdoors. The location truly couldn’t be better. The hotel itself is gorgeous — beautifully designed, warm, and welcoming. The beds were incredibly comfortable (some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling!), and every space felt thoughtfully curated and peaceful. What made the stay even more special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely kind, attentive, and eager to help. You feel cared for the moment you arrive. And the food — truly delicious. Every meal felt fresh, beautifully prepared, and satisfying. It elevated the entire experience. The front desk staff even took a special trip to town to get postcards for my daughter. Just above and beyond in every way. Also, the spa is beautiful and the massages are great and affordable. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty, comfort, warmth, and excellent cuisine, Hotel Arena is a gem. We left feeling restored and already planning our return. Highly, highly recommend."
